Hotel Paral lel

"This hotel was located really well. 30 minutes walking distance to Barcelonata Beach, the Maremagnum mall (open Sunday), Las ramblas, montjuic. There is a launderette on the same block, kfc, some halal food outlets nearby. Service was great- iron available on request. Bathroom had bidet and showers were hot and powerful. The room had hard flooring but no slippers were available on request which was a shame, and bathroom door wouldn’t lock. We didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment."

"The hotel is clean and quiet. I was in room 510. It was a little cramped but perfect for what I needed. It has a very spacious terrace with a table and a couple of chairs. The bathroom was clean and modern. They had shampoo and shower gel available (used my own). There’s a little market across the street for any incidentals you might need. Out the door of the hotel about 75 ft there is a steak house (Don Brasos) that cooks up some mean meat. Burger King and KFC are within 100 ft of the door (if that’s your thing). Parallel street is a main thoroughfare and easily connects you to the rest of the city. Is also close in to the Port in case you’re going on a cruise. It’s only 10-15” to Sagrada in that’s on your list, and 15” to park Guell. On the whole I enjoyed my stay. The staff was great and super helpful."

"If you don't want to be treated like the dirt on someone’s shoe, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The location is good but thats about it. The staff at this hotel hate their jobs and hate you. Extremely rude and unprofessional. We stayed 3 nights and the cleaner refused to come at all because she had “finished her shift”. When requesting more towels the receptionist sighed and literally threw them in our face. We got back one evening at 2am and the hotel doors were locked. We were locked outside for 30 minutes because the receptionist decided to lock the doors and go and take a break. When confronted we received no apology and we were actually shouted at instead. Honestly a terrible place do NOT book here."
