"A brilliant hotel. Don't let 3star rating put you off. The hotel is clean and very welcoming. All the staff were lovely and helpful. We tried speaking a little Spanish, but luckily, all staff speak excellent English. The rooms were lovely, modern and clean with a safe and a nespresdo machine. Sadly no tea making facilities in the room, but we did have a fridge. The views are stunning from the hotel rooms, we were on the 14 floor and could Sagrada Familiar from our room. Breakfast was great, lots of choice, tea, coffee, espresso machine etc. Cooked food was sometimes a little cold as left under a heat lamp rather than in a bain marie. But we enjoyed everything on offer and it set us up for the day. The hotel is in Poblenou, which is a lovely relaxed area. Shops, restaurants and bars are less than 1 minute walk. The food was outstanding and the people was warm and welcoming. The beach is also a 5 minute walk away and was pristine! The whole beach, marina area was beautiful. We chose to walk everywhere and felt the main aspects of the city weren't that far away. The Gothic quarter was about 30 min walk etc. But there were buses nearby. We loved this hotel and will definitely come back. I can't recommend it enough. The roof top pool and bar was brilliant. The view was mindblowing. You had a 360 view of the whole of Barcelona!"

"We had a lovely stay at Hotel Voraport. The staff were really welcoming when we arrived. Our flight got us in quite early, so we were there long before check-in, but there’s a secure baggage room with lockers big enough for full-size suitcases. They also gave us passes so we could use the facilities, including the rooftop pool and bar, while we waited for our room – such a nice touch after an early start! When we did get into our room, it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We stayed for three nights and the room was cleaned every day. There was plenty of space for clothes, and a safe for valuables, which was handy. Breakfast was well run with a good variety of food, and the downstairs bar was a nice quiet spot to relax – perfect for a drink in the evening or just sitting with a book during the day. The drinks selection was great and the staff were lovely. The rooftop bar is definitely one of the highlights – the views are absolutely stunning, and on sunny days it’s a real sun trap. The only thing to note is that there aren’t any lounger-style chairs by the pool, so it’s more for a dip and a drink than a long sunbathing session. The location is brilliant – close to the beach and to the El Poblenou area, which has loads of great bars and restaurants. It’s also really easy to get around on the metro. Overall, it’s a fantastic base for exploring Barcelona. We’d definitely recommend it for couples looking for somewhere clean, modern and comfortable to stay."
