Pickalbatros Palais Des Roses - Agadir

"We had a great time at Pickalbatros during our stay in February. There are some better points below, and other not as great points as well. I would like to add that this is my opinion about the hotel and that it is based on my expectations, not my (positive) state of mind. In addition, I agree this stay was very good as we were satisfied and the hotel certainly deserves 5 stars. (Me and my family travel abroad 1 to 2 times a year and we haven't had a great experience for recent years, so it is not only about everything being 100% in the review). The positive parts: - Absolutely love the reception, bar and bakery lounge as it is beautiful, huge and bright! Moreover, the furniture easily fits in the atmosphere and is all with class and comfort! - The hotel staff was always very helpful when needed and always around. It is also worth mentioning that the staff was happy to assist and engage with all travelers, young and old (which doesn't happen often) and during our stay, I have seen perhaps one staff member actually tired. - The animation team were absolutely fantastic and constantly engaging with guests to play various games and dances. Holiday goers participated often and lots of people wanted to take part in the variety of activities. - Staff communicated in quite a few languages (English, French, Arabic, Polish etc) and were constantly learning new ones to support visitors. - The desserts in the hotel not only appeared breathtaking, but were even as delicious as they looked! I couldn't get enough of them during our stay and are definitely the best we have ever had during our stays in hotels abroad. - Many, many sunbeds where it is very easy to find a free one which can be a common problem in many hotels. - The hotel has a private section of the beach with additional sunbeds if there weren't enough at the pool. It is worth mentioning that the beach is frequently cleaned by the staff and kept in pristine condition. - The architecture of the hotel looks far better at the location than on the photos (you will find here). Disadvantages: - Despite the three restaurants available for dinner, which affects those staying for longer than a week in particular, it can begin to feel somewhat repetitive after some time. - Toilets attached to the individual hotel rooms have little air circulation and therefore leads to mold growing quickly, and unpleasant smells lingering longer."
