Salini Resort

"Located on the coast road close to Qawra the resort is easy to find. The hotel has a modern feel to the style. My room was amazing. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. There was a slight issue with the bathroom door banging on the toilet bowl. There was one small bottle of water provided as well as tea and coffee. Bring a big bottle of water with you. Staff are polite and friendly. Although, I was asked to pay, when I'd paid online already and had to wait several minutes at check in (which was very busy) while the receptionist looked into it. It was resolved but make sure you have a copy off your online receipts. The facilites are top notch. The pools, the gym etc are modern. My only concern is the English language school that's on site which could mean lots of noisy students in the summer. By far the biggest disappointment (and why it gets 4 not 5 stars) was the breakfast. The hot food was cold, cooked, but cold. The sausages were mushy and greasy. the bacon like cheap ham and the eggs frozen. I mentioned this and they apologised. The continental breakfast wasn't much better. There was no flavour to anything, the coffee from the machine was terrible. If you're staying here and want a decent breakfast head into nearby Bugibba or Qawra. Look for room only options when booking."

"I booked 2 nights at Salini Resort for my birthday to relax and enjoy some wellness time. Unfortunately, the stay was very disappointing from start to finish. There were ants in the bathroom every single morning. The couch in the room was broken, and the balcony (1st floor) was directly in front of the restaurant seating area — zero privacy. This should definitely be mentioned when selling these rooms. On 3rd March at 10am, the chef and manager were arguing loudly in front of guests at breakfast. Completely unprofessional. Arguments can happen, but not in front of visitors. Housekeeping entered my room at 9am despite the “DO NOT DISTURB” sign on the door (room 103, 3rd March). It was my birthday and I did not want to be woken up. Even worse: they didn’t close the door properly and left it half open. Anyone could have walked in. That is unacceptable. There was no bathrobe in the room and no information about it. If you want to use the pool or sauna, you have to go to reception and ask. Basic information should be provided in the room. Check-in was already problematic — they copied my ID, then called me down 30 minutes later because they had lost the copy. Not a great start. At breakfast, I placed a coffee and water at my table, went to get food, and when I came back other guests were sitting there because staff had cleared my full drinks thinking I had left. Just careless. Each issue alone might be “small,” but all together they completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing birthday stay. Positive: breakfast selection was good, location is okay, and the building looks nice at night. But overall, very disappointing and not what I expected."

"I cannot but give credits to this resort. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very polite and friendly throughout our stay. Good food and not to mention the Operation Manage, who went over his capabilities to ensure we had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this resort."
