"We are still at this property fir a one week stay. We are booked into one of the junior suites. It consists of a separate bedroom, living room, room, and bathroom. Separate air conditioning controls in the bedroom and in the living room, which is fantastic. We are on the opposite side of the building, facing northeast, away from the construction. That said, although there is construction, it is during the daytime only and is not particularly noisy at this point in time (we’ve heard that the construction will be ongoing for about a year as it is a brand new building going up).
The location in Slima is excellent, with coffee shops, a small grocery, and other amenities close by as well as many restaurants. The restaurant on the fourth floor produces good food; we did not have breakfast here because we are not big eaters in the morning, but the breakfast appears to be plentiful. The pool area on the rooftop is welcoming and bed beds and chairs are available most of the day, although the best ones are taken early with towels placed down.
The room itself, and the hotel is a whole are spotlessly, clean and newly renovated. Large TVs are in both the bedroom and the living room.
There’s ample closet space, but no drawers. Although I find this somewhat annoying, in the sense that I’m looking at my things all the time, it also means I will not forget anything when it’s time to leave! The living area is equipped with an Nespresso machine, but no microwave. While there is a fridge, it is set at a temperature which barely keeps drinks cold and cannot be adjusted. If there were one improvement, it would be to make stays easier by providing appropriate refrigeration for items. It’s impossible to store leftover food from restaurants, for example, nor is there an easy way to warm them up. For one week stay, in a junior suite, that is the only criticism I have.
The bathroom shower is large, with Appell hot water. The sink area is quite small, but there is quite a bit of space underneath to store personal items.
All in all, the suite is very well appointed in a compact area and is perfect for a longer stay. New paragraph but I’ve saved the best for last. The service has been incredible. Particular, thank you to Nadiya and Helen at the front desk; they have been, as has the rest of the staff, warm, friendly, kind, and extremely helpful.
Should we come back to Malta, we will definitely consider staying here again. The only reason we might not has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but rather the busyness of Sliema proper, which isn’t our speed."
