"This was one of the most uncomfortable and poorly conceived hotel rooms I have personally experienced.
The room is extremely small and feels immediately claustrophobic. The layout is fundamentally flawed — the sofa faces directly into the bed, leaving almost no usable space and making it difficult to move or relax. It does not function as a proper living space and feels more like a space that has been forced into use rather than designed for guests.
The furniture arrangement makes even basic use of the room uncomfortable, and the TV placement is awkward and impractical from both the bed and seating area. Overall, the room falls below what I would consider a reasonable standard for a leisure stay.
The balcony and view make the experience significantly worse. The balcony is extremely small and barely usable, and the room directly faces an active construction site at very close distance. Noise from the construction is clearly noticeable and would make it difficult to rest or sleep comfortably. Instead of any sense of comfort or openness, the environment feels harsh, industrial, and genuinely unpleasant.
I had clearly requested a more suitable room in advance. While I understand availability constraints, a room of this nature — particularly one affected by construction noise and such limited space — should not be allocated without clear disclosure, as it materially impacts the guest experience.
When I raised the issue at reception, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked and no alternatives were available. No attempt was made to review options, show another room, or provide any form of solution.
Given the circumstances, I chose to check out shortly after arrival and requested a refund.
What makes this particularly disappointing is that I have stayed at nearby properties such as voco, which offer significantly larger, more comfortable rooms with spacious balconies at a similar price level. The difference in comfort, design, and overall experience is substantial.
Unless you absolutely need to stay in this exact location, there are clearly better options nearby. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this property for anyone expecting a comfortable or restful stay."
