AX The Palace

"My wife and I stayed at AX The Palace for 3 nights in late May 2026 to celebrate her milestone 50th birthday, and we couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. We had made some special requests in advance through Jet2 Holidays and directly with the hotel, and they were executed perfectly. Upon check-in, a lovely surprise was waiting in our room — Prosecco, beautiful flowers, balloons and towel art. It made my wife’s birthday extra special and really set the tone for the whole stay. The staff throughout the hotel were fabulous — professional, friendly, warm and genuinely attentive. Special mention to the Guest Relations and Front Office teams who handled everything discreetly and with care. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself is in a great central location in Sliema, just a short walk from the promenade and restaurants. The rooftop infinity pool is stunning with beautiful views, and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety. Our room was spacious, modern and very comfortable. Overall, AX The Palace delivered a perfect combination of stylish accommodation, excellent facilities and truly outstanding hospitality. We felt very well looked after the entire time. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this hotel, especially for special occasions."

"The hotel is a truly luxurious hotel. Our room was large, furnished well and had a lovely bathroom with both bath and shower. The room was cleaned each day to a high standard. There is a roof top pool with both loungers and chairs situated in the sun and also the shade. There is a roof top bar where both food and drinks are available. The indoor pool has a number of loungers on the patio area and there is also a steam room and sauna. The staff were amazing throughout our stay, friendly and courteous. There are various bars and restaurants at the hotel too, even the Penny Black pub. We stayed on a B&B basis which was absolutely wonderful, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cereal, cold meats plus a wide variety of cooked items too were available each day. We were surrounded by beautiful winding streets leading down to the harbour and promenade where numerous restaurants,bars and shops are located( we smiled when we saw a M&S and Matalan ! ). We had a lovely trip over to Valletta on the boat ( €5 return) it takes about ten minutes. This is a destination we will most certainly visit again and would not hesitate to stay at AX The Palace once more."

"Lovely hotel, great location in Sliema with easy access to both sides of the peninsula. We had booked a superior room, but were upgraded to a junior suite on check in. Great room, lots of space, massive balcony with loungers and table and chairs looking out towards Valetta. No complaints about the room, comfy bed, aircon worked well, great shower, coffee machine, kettle and fridge provided. Breakfast was very good, great selection available. Never had to wait for a table. Spent a small amount of time at the pool, sun loungers available all day, towels provided. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Sliema."
