  • If your holiday destination is on the ‘green’ list for departures up to and including 30 September 2021

    Good news - holidays to green destinations can go ahead! You’ll just need to make sure you follow all the steps required by the government for your return. Remember, this could change between booking and travel, so make sure to keep checking the government website for the latest updates – we recommend signing up for their email alerts, should anything change.

  • If your holiday destination is on the ‘amber’ list for departures up to and including 30 September 2021

    Holidays to ‘amber’ destinations can go ahead if you’re happy to travel and follow the re-entry steps set out by the government. Remember, this could change between booking and travel, so make sure to keep checking the government website for the latest updates - we recommend that you sign up for their email alerts, should anything change.

    If your holiday destination stays on the ‘amber’ list in the run up to your departure date, you can make fee free changes right up to 24 hours before you’re due to travel, or, you can choose to cancel your holiday for easyJet holidays credit to put towards a future booking, for when the time is right.

  • If your holiday destination is on the ‘red’ list for departures up to and including 30 September 2021

    Right now, we won’t operate holidays to ‘red’ list destinations as it means a mandatory hotel quarantine on arrival back to the UK. Should your destination be added to the ‘red’ list within 28 days of travel you’ll be offered the option to make fee free changes or receive the value of your holiday as credit straight away. If the destination stays on the ‘red’ list, we’re really sorry but we’ll have to cancel your holiday no later than seven days before you’re due to travel and we'll refund you in full to your original method of payment. The same will apply if the government makes any short notice changes or adds your destination to the red list within seven days of when you’re due to travel.

  • If ‘all but essential travel’ is advised or quarantine on arrival for your destination

    With safety and enjoyment front of mind we will cancel any holidays where the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advises against all but essential travel. We will also allow you to cancel or amend your booking for free where, at the point of departure, there’s a known routine quarantine requirement in destination and providing proof of a negative Covid-19 test or your vaccination status won’t allow you to miss this quarantine period.

  • What else do you need to know?

    It’s really important that you read, understand and act on the FCDO advice regarding entry requirements for your destination and for your return home. Before you go, it’s also worth taking the time to read the FCDO’s foreign travel checklist, which includes information on preparing for any overseas holidays.

It’s really important that you read, understand and act on the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office advice regarding entry requirements for your destination and for your return home to the UK. Due to Covid-19, this may include (but is not limited to) completing and submitting any documentation in advance to show at the airport, proof of a negative Covid-19 test (before you leave the UK, before you return to the UK and after you arrive back in the UK) and/or complying with any applicable vaccination rules. Failure to do so could result in you being unable to go on holiday and cancellation charges will apply, or a delay in your return to the UK after your holiday and costs being incurred by you.

Governmental advice and policy is subject to change at short notice and so you should keep checking the FCDO page for your destination. You can sign up via the government site for alerts for the country you are travelling to.

For destinations within the European Union, you can find up to date travel information around the availability of places like restaurants, bars and beaches here. They also have links to national websites for coronavirus related tourism information.

The National Travel Health Network & Centre is a UK government organisation which produces travel health guidance for travellers going overseas from the UK.

It’s not just entry requirements for your holiday destination that you need to consider, but also any steps ahead of your return home as part of the government’s traffic light system for international travel. Make sure you visit the government website for further information on the necessary steps, which can change at short notice between booking and travel.

In all cases, you’ll need to submit a passenger locator form before you arrive back home, and will be required to provide a negative Covid-19 test within a set period before your return to the country. You should ensure that you have adequate travel insurance to cover any costs you may incur if your return home is delayed due to not being able to produce a negative Covid-19 test.
