A picture-perfect experience you won't forget
Akureyri combines landscapes that could’ve been plucked right out of the pages of National Geographic with a buzzy atmosphere to make for a city break that’s got a little something extra. And with a spot close to the heart of it all, Akureyri Berjaya Iceland Hotels could be just the place to cosy up for a few days.
A visit to Iceland wouldn’t be complete without a dip in a geothermal pool, and the one at the Forest Lagoon is a must during your trip. Tucked away amongst a thicket of trees on a mountainside just seven minutes’ drive away, you’ll find two geothermal pools, a swim-up bar, and a bistro that boasts some truly stellar views.
Stroll around the town meanwhile, and you’ll find lively bars, cosy restaurants, and even a handful of museums that cover the history and development of Akureyri.
Ease into the evening at the hotel bar, where an inviting fireplace and a chilled glass of wine will ensure you’re feeling relaxed. Then make your way to the Aurora Restaurant, which has a strong focus on locally grown, fresh ingredients – served with a picture-perfect view.
