Windmill Hotel

"Have stayed here 3 times this year- just live the place, the staff and most of all the kladis family that own and run it! Fabulous staff always happy and helpful, so much choice at breakfast, great food in the pool bar , sparkling pool and everything very clean, sheets and towels changed daily, toilet rolls supplied, close to restaurants and tavernas, no fights for sunbeds they also have more sunbeds across the road at their other venue kavo which is on the sea front and has good price food, your in good hands with this family if you have any problems they help you, also have a security man on duty overnight stayed in several different rooms small kitchenette too comfy beds just live the place!"

"Just returned from a really nice weeks stay at the Windmill hotel in poolside room no 107. Room was fine with everything you need including a small television and hob for self catering if required. Plenty of storage space for clothes and we also paid for the safe for the week but not the aircon unit as it wasn't that hot at night. Beds were pretty comfortable by Greek hotel standards and the bathroom was fine again with a really decent shower by Greek standards. Room was cleaned daily by the excellent staff and also left plenty of toilet rolls! The location of the hotel is fantastic set back slightly from the main road and nice that it isn't up a big hill like we have had on other islands. An easy stroll to all of the fantastic bars and restaurants that Argassi has to offer which I have also reviewed separately. Some of are favourites were Kiss bar, Jungle bar, Red Wine and Zinc, but everywhere was great. Around the hotel in the day was fine with plenty of sunbeds although many in the sunny part in the morning were take quite early as the opposite side is in the shade until late morning. We never struggled for a sunbed though and we don't get up that early. You can also use the sunbeds for free across the road at Kavo, just tell them you are staying at the Windmill. Pool is great but is quite deep if you have children. There were kids there so it wasn't quiet but no issue there is also a small kids playground. The bar area is lovely for lunch and again staff are really friendly and the chicken gyros wraps are delicious. There is also a Greek night on a Wednesday. It was quite noisy some nights as bar stays open until people leave and also in the mornings you can hear people talking and moving furniture etc if on the ground floor like we were so probably take some ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. All in all a lovely stay and would definitely recommend."
