Mitsis Belvedere

"We stayed at Mitsis Belvedere hotel in August. We had a lovely time we had to change rooms. It wasn’t the best food it was always cold and there was always pasta. Otherwise it was a very nice hotel. I liked the pool there was a deep side and a smaller side for young kids. My daughter slipped into the pool just before lunch. Myself I really enjoyed the hotel. On our last day there was way better food than before. I might come back to this lovely location. I liked the see view that we had. There was also a really nice beach across the road from the hotel. My daughter enjoyed the jumping board across the road at the beach."

"We stayed at the Mitsis Belvedere in Corfu in October and, to be honest, it was one of the most frustrating holidays we’ve had. The hotel itself sits in a lovely spot with absolutely gorgeous sea views, but that’s really where the positives end. The rooms are dated and tired, and the bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on – I woke up stiff every morning. The food was another let-down. The buffet felt repetitive, with pork appearing on the menu almost every day, and very little variety overall. For a hotel that markets itself as four-star, the dining experience just didn’t live up to the standard you’d expect. Then came the real shock. On the evening of 18th October, we found a letter pushed under our door saying the hotel would be closing at midday on the 20th, and that we’d be moved to the Mitsis Messonghi Beach Hotel. No prior notice, no discussion, nothing from either Thomas Cook or the hotel. We were just told this was happening, which left us completely powerless to do anything about it. When we arrived at the Messonghi Beach, things went from bad to worse. The reception staff seemed irritated to see us, and there was none of the friendly welcome we’d had at the Belvedere. We had to chase them about the “courtesy room” mentioned in the letter, and when we finally saw it, it was filthy with dirty towels, a grimy shower, just awful. The whole place felt chaotic. Overcrowded, noisy, and with no available sun loungers or quiet corners to relax in. It felt like we’d been moved from a modest but peaceful hotel to a crowded budget resort. So instead of enjoying our last day, we spent it feeling completely let down. What stings most is the lack of communication and consideration. If we’d known about the closure in advance, we could have made our own choices. Instead, the decision was made for us, and we were expected to accept it without question. It’s a real shame because Corfu itself is beautiful, but this experience has definitely put us off staying with Mitsis again, and we certainly wouldn’t return to either the Belvedere or Messonghi Beach."

"Well let’s start got to the hotel late to steep steps not gud for disabled or anybody with mobility issues nobody to help with cases , got to reception not very helpful and was amazed at no information on walls bus times restaurant itimes etc , got to room was like going back to the 60s very dated hard beds no information on safe and how to use , fridge empty no water in there or any welcome info for us , Restaurant very poor same food every day shocking breakfast if you like pork and chicken that’s all your gunna get , Pool area not bad, if you like wasps well you will love it there loads about and won’t leave you alone , Last 2 days no coffee in restaurant at breakfast joke Thought would try cocktails Asked for strawberry dachrie don’t do that Pina colada don’t do that , mojito don’t do that total wast of time going all inclusive , Also Said snacks throu the day all we got was biscuits , all I’m saying not a 3 star 2 at a push , leave well alone not worth the money really disappointed Will not be returning so the choice is yours"
