Holiday Inn Express Gibraltar

"We went to Gibraltar for the 1st time and stayed here. It's like a taste of the UK with a bunch of people speaking Spanish, kind of neat. Yasmina and Ismael were very helpful in explaining how people lived in Gibraltar and having Spanish neighbors. The hotel had a small bar and restaurant, we ate there the 1st night. The breakfast was traditional UK breakfast, which was pretty cool. I didn't care for the Marmite, but everything else was delicious. Recommend checking out Gibraltar and staying at this hotel. this was one of the most affordable properties on the Rock, a small British overseas territory with a lot of unique history."

"This is my second visit and its still as brilliant. I have just left today after 7 nights for a work trip. I was allocated room 404 which is airport facing and I would definitely recommend asking in advance for the airport view as its alot quieter and a lovely view. The staff make the hotel they are all so friendly and all hard working. The free breakfast is lovely and vegetarian sausages are available just ask. The evening meals are nice . The hotel location is great a 10 minute walk from the airport. Also 15 mins walk to Oscan village and main street and the lovely beaches are 15 minutes walk.i would definitely recommend and return."

"We stayed here for 3 nights in September and to be honest we weren’t expecting it to be as nice as it was. The whole place is spotlessly clean, I’ve never seen a hotel so clean especially in the public areas. The room was good enough for the time we were there but we would have struggled for wardrobe space if we’d had a weeks worth of clothes. The wardrobe space is small and you’ll need to bring some of your own hangers. There are no drawers in the room at all, only a shelf above the hanging rail. There is a hairdryer but it’s a bit of a challenge to dry your hair in front of the mirror due to the plug sockets being in the wrong places. The bed was actually quite comfortable and we slept well. Reading lights in the headboard which was handy. The bathroom was a good size with a large shower and Dove toiletries provided. Again the room was immaculate. We had a view of the runway and the cemetery and once the window was closed you couldn’t hear a thing from outside. We hadn’t expected much from the breakfast but honestly it was very good, the best bacon we’ve had in a hotel abroad as it was actually cooked properly 😄 There was a choice of continental, pastries, cereals, fruit or a full English. There was toast and baps which was a nice touch. Teas and coffees were actually hot from the machines. The staff were all so nice , always smiling and always busy keeping the hotel looking good. The hotel isn’t in the best place as it’s on a very busy road which is quite noisy, we didn’t use the outside seating area to have a drink as the outlook is just noisy smelly traffic. We would return to this hotel but only if we got a cheap deal because the location isn’t very nice but the hotel itself is a lovely place to stay in."
