The Westin Grand Munich

"This is a big fancy hotel with a huge conference area. But what impressed me the most are three things: Breakfast buffet: wow! The selection!!! They even have fresh mint leaves and real ginger at the tea station. Club lounge for platinum members: it's west facing with huge windows...so while having dinner you can enjoy the sunset Front desk: I really want to thank Tanya M. for being so kind and patient while checking me in. That's what customer service is all about. She's a real asset to the hotel. Definitely will return...thank you!!! Alvin from Canada"

"First Class Luxury Hotel near Munich Center. Large business hotel which also was very very nice for a couple. I’m a Platinum Elite with Marriott, got an upgraded room and lounge access. The room was spacious and quiet, was able to open the window for fresh air. Ventilation system was quiet, didn’t need it as some fresh air was enough. Lounge on 23 floor is wonderful. It’s a bit small and narrow , but still comfortable. Wines and beers decent, nothing special. Food was GREAT both nights. This is easily dinner. Had trout with spinach and pumpkin, so good! The only think to improve is the “thumping loud music”. I asked to try it down/off, which once done made for a relaxing stay. Breakfast is in the main first floor restaurant. A full buffet with everything, including Weiss wurst. The bed was very comfortable. Shower had conditioner as well as shampoo. The access to the city is easy at Effner Platz, a short flat stroll from the hotel. Would stay here again as it was so comfortable, a very good value for money, and easy to get into Munich. To the airport is also easy with the tram/bus and SBahn."

"I stayed at the Westin Munich while attending an event here, and the hotel seems to anticipate what you need before you realise it yourself. My room came with a Nespresso machine and a good range of teas. Even the small things you tend to forget to pack were waiting for me, right down to mouthwash and a comb. The staff were fantastic throughout, and the concierge team in particular were superb. The conference facilities worked really well for the event, and the food matched the standard of everything else. I made good use of the gym and pool too, which helped a lot after long days at the event. Worth knowing about the location. The Altstadt is about an hour's walk away, so the hotel suits conference and business stays best. A taxi into town cost me around €20. I'd happily come back."
