Sea views and sophistication
Housed in an impressive 19th century building – which has been completely renovated – Anantara Plaza Nice is a hotel that’s got glamour, luxury, and a stellar location. Rubbing shoulders with the city’s designer boutiques and perched on the edge of pretty Jardin Albert 1er, the setting here is second to none.
As if all that wasn’t enough, it’s got some sweeping views of the Mediterranean – the shores of which are just a five-minute stroll across the park. You’ll be able to pick up the Promenade des Anglais, too, which stretches for seven kilometres along the seafront.
If you need a bit of R&R, the hotel spa has got you well and truly covered. With a relaxation room, hammam, and a sauna, plus a menu of massages and treatments to choose from, unwinding will be a cinch. There’s a gym here, too, and it’s open 24 hours per day, so you can fit your routine in at any time of day or night.
As for where to eat, as well as a whole host of great spots practically on the doorstep, the hotel’s own foodie offering is not to be sniffed at. Mediterranean cuisine is served in a picture-perfect setting in the rooftop bar and restaurant, while light bites and drinks are available daily from Les Colonnades – the swanky main bar.
