"Our stay at Pickalbatros Makadi was truly one of the best holiday experiences we have ever had.
From the moment we arrived, I was absolutely stunned by the beauty of the hotel. The grounds are immaculate, the atmosphere is luxurious yet relaxing, and every area of the resort is maintained to the highest standard.
We were very kindly upgraded to two family rooms located within smaller private complexes with their own pools, which made our stay feel even more exclusive and comfortable. Thank you Mohammed Ramzy and Naggy, who made this possible. Our bell boy, Ramadan, ensured all of our luggage was transported perfectly to our rooms and provided exceptional service from the moment we arrived.
The private pool service was outstanding throughout our stay. Mohammed Sadek was incredible, always bringing drinks with the biggest smile and consistently delivering exceptional service. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble for any member of staff.
A special mention must also go to our lifeguard, Mohammed Shahat, who greeted us warmly every morning and remained attentive until pool closing each evening. He was incredibly genuine, kind, and professional, always looking out for our children and ensuring we were comfortable throughout the day.
Food:
The food at Pickalbatros Makadi exceeded all expectations. I have never stayed at an all-inclusive resort offering such a huge variety of high-quality cuisine. Every restaurant offered something different and there was truly something for everyone. The steakhouse is a must-visit and is the only restaurant requiring a reservation.
As someone with a nut allergy, I was especially impressed with the level of care and attention provided by the catering team. Although allergen symbols were not displayed, Mustafa Mohammed, the chief pastry chef and cake maker, personally ensured every ingredient was explained to me clearly and safely. This level of care made me feel completely reassured throughout our stay.
A huge thank you also to Yaser, Mohammed Samir, and Islam Mustafa for taking the time to ensure all food was prepared to the highest quality and that all of my dietary requirements were fully catered for. Thank you to Hisham Yaser who memorised our drunks order on the occasions i visted their restaurant
Our rooms were cleaned daily by an extremely professional housekeeping team who catered to all our needs during the holiday. A huge thank you to Abdel Nasser Mustafa and Alsabour Ali for their outstanding service and attention to detail.
Spa Experience:
On our second day, I experienced the Moroccan Hammam treatment at Golden Spa, which was the perfect way to begin the holiday and prepare for complete relaxation. The experience was exceptional from start to finish thanks to Metab and Lina, who ensured everything felt truly five-star.
I also booked two Cleopatra facials with Yara Yasser, Merna Emad, and Mariam Magdy. The results were amazing — both my daughters and I left with flawless skin and feeling incredibly pampered. The treatments were excellent value for money and the level of care provided was exceptional.
A special thank you to Rakia, the wonderful receptionist who organised everything perfectly for us, along with Mohammed Otian and Noura Abbas who helped us choose our treatments. Every member of the spa team was welcoming, professional, and attentive.
One of the highlights of our trip was the ATV desert quad experience. My children had an amazing time and we felt completely safe throughout. A special thank you to Mohammed, our guide, who took us through the desert and captured some beautiful family photographs for us to treasure.
We also booked a trip to Luxor with MTA Tours, which became the absolute highlight of our holiday. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made the entire experience unforgettable.
The evening before we left, I was approached by a gentleman at reception who turned out to be the hotel manager. He personally asked about our stay and ensured all of our needs had been met. I truly appreciate managers who take the time to engage with guests and go above and beyond to maintain such exceptional standards.
I rarely return to the same hotel twice, but Pickalbatros Makadi has completely changed that for me. This resort delivers exceptional service, outstanding facilities, and unforgettable experiences. We will definitely be returning."
