"Me, my wife and our 4 children (aged 13 and 17) travelled to Cyprus for our first time and booked 8 nights in the Basilica, and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we couldn't have asked for better. The reception team (Christella in particular) are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, arranged some trips for us which not only were better than what we had hoped, but saved us money also! The room was lovely, we had a two bed apartment with 2 beds in the living quarters, one of the beds was alittle worse for wear on arrival, we advised reception and it was changed out within 10 mins for a brand new bed and mattress! Fantastic service. The air con is lovely and cool, follow the tips and set them to 20 degrees, keeps it at a lovely cool temp and no condensation, works perfect. We had a fully functioning kitchen hob, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge so could make food in our room if we needed to. Room was cleaned very regularly and fresh towels given, to be honest, we slept in a couple of days otherwise it would have been cleaned almost every day! The food is phenomenal, we were on the all inclusive package, and it surpassed all previous all inclusive by far. A change of menu each day, and every night at least 2 freshly cooked joints of meat, fresh curries, pastas, fish, meats, noodles and rices, large selection of fresh salads, seriously, my kids are quite fussy eaters and they absolutely loved it. And the desserts are amazing, massive selection, all freshly made. Faouzi who runs the entertainment and activities throughout the day is just the best, a sincerely brilliant person, really brings a personal touch to the hotel and involved everyone. A real asset. The pool is plenty big enough, never once felt crowded, and more than enough loungers, we never once couldn't get a lounger for us and we needed 4-6 per time. Its location is perfect, just opposite a large supermarket, within walking distance (3 mins tops) to the beach and the sea front, and a 5 mins walk to the harbour, CY Dive about a 90 seconds walk for those who want to try Scuba diving (highly recommended), it really was the best holiday and we sincerely cannot wait to return. Thanks to all of the staff at the Basilica for making our stay amazing in every way."
