Annabelle

"Annabelle hotel is much like Paphos itself, friendly but dated. We had 2 connecting rooms, 3rd floor - sea view. They were ok. All a bit tired and in need of refurb. Beds were very comfortable. Showers had decent pressure. Daily filtered water and tea and coffee… all expected at a 5 star hotel… BUT the noise! I slept so badly the whole week. If it wasn’t the people returning to rooms, banging doors, scraping furniture, it was the party boats. Fireworks, loud music, fog horns and at the weekend the noise continued until gone 2am! If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Breakfast was fine. There was a big push each morning to fill the restaurants for dinner. We tried lunch at their Mediterranean restaurant once and it was the worst service we experienced our whole holiday. So with that and the eye-watering prices, we ate elsewhere each meal thereafter. The best thing about Annabelle are the pools. The main one is heated to a bath-like 30 degrees and for those that prefer a more refreshing dip, the other pools will satisfy. The loungers are comfortable enough and towels plentiful. Service was mostly fine around them. The depth is 1m-1.7m and no inflatables allowed other than children’s safety ones. We felt that the hotel was expensive for what it delivered, but can see that it appeals to those that return year after year. That wont be us though."

"Just enjoyed a special week with 3 generations of our family at The Annabelle. Great hotel in very convenient location. Outstanding service from the whole team at the Annabelle. Special mention is due to Fatima at reception and Haris in the breakfast restaurant who were both so friendly and helpful - as were all their colleagues. There seems to be a perception that Cyprus is unsafe because of its geographical proximity to the Middle East. We never felt unsafe and will be happy to go back as soon as possible."

"The Annabelle hotel was the best hotel we had ever stayed at. The service was excellent and the food was very good. We were half-board and found the variety quality of the food in all 3 restaurants exceptional. We certainly intend to return."
