"Disappointed by Front-Desk Handling Despite a Beautiful Hotel My mum and I stayed at Almyra and had looked forward to it for months. The hotel is stunning, calm, and perfectly located. Marcos at reception and Kristina at breakfast were exceptional, and Diana was thoughtful and organised throughout our stay. Before booking, I had spent a long time comparing options. Cap St Georges had actually been my first choice, but I ultimately chose Almyra because its Atheon Premium Sea View rooms appeared to offer completely open, unobstructed views. That deciding factor sadly became the reason for our disappointment. We were allocated Room 317, a Premium Sea View on a higher floor, but the view was mostly blocked by a tall tree. The next morning, we politely emailed to ask if any rooms with a clearer view might be available. That evening, Diana kindly called to say that more open sea view rooms (room: 315 & 320) would be available to view the next morning, and also offered IT support to help connect our ipad & phone to the TV. When we went to reception, Christopher said there was no porter available and asked us to return in a few hours. At that point, he added that there was no point sending IT support since we might change rooms (which was understandable at the time). Later that morning, he had Marcos show us Room 215, a lower-floor Premium Sea View with a far more obstructed sea view, the opposite of what had been arranged. Marcos immediately understood what we were hoping for and mentioned that the clearer, panoramic views were from Room 320 onwards (like Diana had initially planned). When we returned to reception, Christopher suddenly said that Room 320 was now booked and Room 315 was now being used as a showroom. The rooms that had been confirmed just hours earlier had somehow become unavailable overnight. He also insisted that Apple devices were not supported no point of sending IT to help, which I later found was untrue after managing to connect mine myself. From that moment, the atmosphere changed. What had been a peaceful and happy stay suddenly felt dismissive and uncomfortable. Even Diana was surprised later to learn that we had been shown a lower room after she had arranged higher ones. A smaller but telling moment came in the spa, when we were sent down by several staff who wished us a pleasant visit, only to find two workmen inside the FEMALE-only area without warning. It left the same uneasy feeling that attention to guests’ comfort was not always consistent. Almyra is a beautiful hotel, and staff such as Marcos, Kristina, and Diana are a real credit to it. However, one person’s behaviour at the front desk completely changed the tone of our stay. What began as a long-anticipated, bucket-list trip for my mum ended as a quiet countdown to leaving, which was heartbreaking to see."

"Everything is amazing, the staffs are very professional, helpful, kind and welcoming. Special mention to Mr. Panagiotis the hotel manager, in the reception. Gabriel, and Diana. The hotel manager is amazing, you see him everywhere in the hotel looking after the needs of guests. The rooms are super clean, meals from the restaurant are delicious, with lots of variety. The overall maintenance of the hotel is top notch. We will come back again."

"We had a thoroughly enjoyable ten night stay at the Almyra. Our Aethon room was very clean, very comfortable and had fantastic views of the sea and harbour. The staff were excellent, always there to help. Food was very good, with a fantastic choice for breakfast and number of different restaurants to choose from for lunch and dinner. A very short walk along the boardwalk got you to the harbour. We had a great time, thank you to everyone at the Almyra."
