Alexander the Great Beach Hotel

"Positives: Very nices staff (mostly) Beautiful beach Spectacular on-site a la carte asian restaurant Very nice weather the first week of Nov (25-27 C) Clean and large pool good for laps Negatives Buffet food bland, practically no seafood DIrty worn-out carpets in the room and in corridors Our room was a disaster: We are a family of four with twins 11 years old and we paid extra for a superior sea-view room. Unfortunately what we got was not what was advertised on  the hotel website. Our room was dark and had irregular shape with  a small balcony and a small window  so with kids beds laid out access to the balcony was only over the kids beds.  At the same time  the superior room advertised on the hotel web page is a very bright one and has a nice rectangular shape with large windows and a large balcony. We complained to the hotel manager and after giving us several excuses she finally admitted that all regular superior rooms are occupied now and she can give us one only for the last two days of our vacation. This was very unfair especially that 90% of guests were couples and our room would be perfect for a couple, but no -  the hotel mgmt preferred to cram us in a room clearly not fit  for 4 people."

"This was our second vist to this hotel in the winter months. As usual the hotel is perfectly located on the beach and within a 5 minute walk to Pafos harbour. The hotel is large but in excellent decorative order and the staff could not be friendlier. We had a superior room with a sea view (room 101) which was really good giving lovely views right down to the harbour. The food, in general was not quite as good as our last visit in November 2024 but still very nice. The food in the specialty restaurants was excellent particularly the & Orchids Asian and the Garibaldi Italian (guest staying a week or more get to visit each of these once with prior booking. The grounds of the hotel are extensive with a useful sunbed allocation system allowing you to choos your sunbed on day one and its yours for the whole stay. Overall an excellent hotel for adults, not particularly suited to children"

"After reading the reviews on jet2 have to say would never come back .... if I new it was an out of seasons sarga get way would never if booked ,the staff and food lovely but the way the other guest treat you as a same sex couple its shocking I would never come again..... Not LBGT+ friendly , after the amount my partner paid are room was even double booked so had to down grade for one day and miss out on are private pool ,with not email or anything on a hole just don't come here ..."
