Lordos Beach

"Perfect situation. A few short paces from the hotel grounds on to a sandy (if slightly gravely ) beach. The hotel was spotless in all locations, including our room which was attended to every day. An outstanding staff which are a wonderful asset. Every member of staff whether it was reception, maintainance, housekeeping or restaurant/bar was friendly and helpful and service was always prompt. Even the beach was cleaned every night. The water here is very shallow for quite a way out and was always calm (even on a windy day the waves were quite subdued by the breakwater. The grounds are beautifully designed and there was always plenty of sunbeds and comfortable seating in the hotel. Restaurant service was prompt and efficient. Sadly the food was an issue for us. The range of cold buffet and salad bar dishes was always excellent. Hot buffet meals however were not so great, Dishes like lasagne or moussaka where they are cooked in an oven usually with a sauce were mostly good. However most of the other offerings seems to have been cooked under a very hot grill one after the other and then kept warm which often resulted in dried out very tough meat and other food. Maybe they were all perfect when first put out at 6.45. The restaurant closes at 9.45. Heaven knows what it would be like by then. The major issue is the lack of options for anyone who cannot eat gluten unless you are content to eat salad every night. The "Italian" night was the worst where the chef confirmed there was nothing I could eat. There were potatoes and plain veg present I was shocked to find I wasn't allowed them either because all had been cooked in the same pasta water and therefore all contained gluten. (This happened every night). This was the perfect hotel for us in all aspects but sadly for this reason alone we will not be back."

"We stayed here as a family of four, with two under 5s. - Room We stayed in a double with side sea view and it came with a sofa bed, which fitted a 5 year old alongside a large open cot/childs bed which fitted a 3 year old. There was a kettle, a smart tv with apps including netflix and disney, alongside complimentary water. - Food Breakfast was great, a range of hot dishes, cold meats and salad, juices, speciality coffees, and even champagne. Breakfast hall was nice, although they allowed smoking on comfortable chairs next to the outside breakfast area and the smell was gross. Staff were otherwise friendly. Buffet dinner was also very nice. - facilities The splash park for children was nice and the shallow pool area was very comfortable. Given its october, the water was very cold in the large adult pool. The sea was nice and warm though, and everything was clean and tidy. There was also an activities room for children."

"A perfect experience in every way! We spent four nights at the Lordos Beach Hotel, and we already know we’ll definitely return. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and elegant throughout. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and always smiling. As a vegan, I always found delicious options that suited me, and everything was absolutely tasty. The proximity to the sea is a real gift. My partner, who eats everything, could only speak in superlatives about the quality of the food – and we travel a lot, yet even in Italy he hadn’t eaten such an amazing dinner as the one served here during the Italian-themed buffet evening. The variety is huge, and everything is fresh and flavorful. I would especially like to mention Mr. Christos, who I believe is the restaurant manager. Every morning and evening he kindly asked if I had found suitable vegan food, and always offered to have something prepared especially for me if needed. This thoughtfulness and genuine kindness meant a lot to me. I have never experienced such heartfelt care anywhere else. I’m deeply grateful to have met Christos – thanks to him, we will always remember this place with warmth. It’s rare these days to meet someone who works with such true dedication, heart, and soul."
