Hotel Croatia Cavtat

"We stayed here the night before flying to US since it was very close to the airport. When we went to our room, we discovered the room was quite warm & stuffy. We tried to get the AC to come on using the thermostat but it just wouldn't come on. Then checked with the front desk who had told us that the AC was turned off the prior day for the rest of the year and we should open our sliding glass door and to close the curtains. It didn't help that much. The hotel was nice enough. We did take a walk down to the water. There was a nice path down along the water's edge. More signage is needed showing which way to go especially when going back up the hill to the hotel. Other than not having AC, our room was fine. We ate dinner at the steakhouse. We didn't have steak but the meal was good. (I rounded my rating up.)"

"We stayed at the hotel for a week in October - we originally booked a Deluxe room but were upgraded on arrival to a Superior room with a sea view. The room and the facilities were fabulous and we both really enjoyed our stay - the hotel is vast and has all the amenities anyone could need. Every single member of staff deserves the highest praise too as everyone was friendly and helpful - a credit to the hotel. We ate in 2 of the restaurants and enjoyed the food - the included breakfasts were good with a huge range of food option available. Those looking for exercise are well catered for too as there are several places available but you can also take the steps down to the harbour for a good workout - there is a complimentary buggy available but mostly, we took the steps to burn off some of the calories that we ate. Overall it was a great say and we would be very happy to go back again!"

"Went on our first holiday together as a young couple. Chose this hotel due to its beautiful photos within the website and great discounted offers on our stay. We however were very disappointed with the room as it seems all our money went to the evening visit of someone closing our curtains for us. The room we paid for was the deluxe double plus room however on arrival we noticed it was actually a twin room as our bed was two single beds pushed together and the front doors emergency fire plan showed us we were actually in a twin room. Not only this but because it was a twin room the double bed they had made did not align with the head board and was very uncomfortable. There was no channels on the tv and you had to pay upwards of €10 to watch one of the 10 choices of movies. There was also no soap when we arrived. The staff were very unfriendly apart from one kind lady working at the piano bar. This was very upsetting as it felt we were taken advantage of being a young couple having our first trip and hotel away."
