Hillside resort with incredible views
Spectacular views are part of the package at the Servatur Terrazamar Sunsuites, a whitewashed, sea-facing hotel staggered over a hillside. It’s in the peaceful Puerto Rico neighbourhood, around 15 minutes’ walk from the shops and cafes in the town centre, and 20 minutes from the beach. Because it’s flanked by rolling countryside, though, the resort feels nicely secluded.
The abundance of pools make it easy to stay put here. Two each for adults and kids are open all year round, while another pair are open just for the summer months. The surrounding terraces and gardens are well supplied with loungers and parasols, so you won't have any trouble finding somewhere to kick back of an afternoon. A couple of waterside bars service the area, so you never have to walk for a snack or a cold drink. You’ve got a playground for little ones, too,
The Sunsuites Restaurant is open for breakfast. It specialises in big international buffet spreads, and you can get things like pancakes and omelettes made to order. Accommodation comes in the form of airy apartments, all with their own kitchenettes for home cooking. If you fancy venturing out, Puerto Rico has a myriad of restaurants serving every cuisine going.
Just so you know, the entertainment and kids' club services are only available during the summer months.
