Why fly to Paris?

There really is nowhere quite like Paris - whether you're looking for inspiring art, delicious food, or just to wander around and soak up the Parisian vibes. The ‘City of Light’ has long been the preferred city break destination for doe-eyed couples who come for romantic cruises down the Seine, for families looking for a bit of culture, and for friends seeking great food and fun nightlife.

Best time to visit

In June, July and August, Paris is warm and the long days are ideal for exploring the city. June is actually busier than July and August when many Parisians escape the city for their summer holidays. Paris in the summer can be hot and humid but that won't stop you enjoying a blissful picnic by the Eiffel Tower or a spot of sunbathing by the Seine's seasonal beaches.

Avoid the crowds

As one of the world's most popular cities, Paris is always abuzz with visitors. But fly to Paris in May and September and you'll find fewer tourists than in high summer. May's mild weather and lengthening days make exploring the city particularly enjoyable and you're likely to see Paris' parks and streets full of blooming flowers. September on the other hand, is only marginally cooler than August.

Your Paris Questions Answered

Paris has two major airport options: Roissy Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly. CDG is a larger airport with more longhaul flights, while Orly offers primarily flights to European destinations. Both are easily accessible via public transport, so either is an excellent option for flying to Paris.
