May and June are lovely months to experience Fuerteventura, when the temperatures are in the mid-20s, the sea warm enough to bathe in and there’s an average of about nine hours of sunshine a day. July and August, meanwhile, play host to the annual World Windsurfing Championships.
Fly to Fuerteventura in April or May for balmy temperatures and lots of sunshine but lesser crowds. A popular family destination, the beaches get crowded once the summer holidays hit, so it’s better to avoid June, July and August if you prefer more secluded beaches and quieter tourist attractions.
