The most popular time to fly to Olbia is during the summer months of July and August. This is when the weather is just perfect for kicking back on the white sand beaches of Pittulongu and taking a refreshing dip in the warm waters of Tyrrhenian Sea. With the most regular boat departures, it's also the best season for exploring Olbia's rugged coast.

Avoid the crowds

As a port city, Olbia has a year-round buzz but you can find cheaper hotel and flight prices by flying to the city in May, June or September when less holiday makers visit these shores. The weather is warm and predominantly dry (although the sea may be a bit chilly for a dip in May), with comfortable conditions for trekking to the medieval castle of Castello di Pedres.
