• New easyJet integration brings flight search, package holiday search and live flight status directly into ChatGPT

  • Customers can search live availability and prices before continuing to easyJet.com or easyJet.com/holidays to book

easyJet has launched a new integration in ChatGPT, enabling customers to search flights, package holidays, and live flight status, directly within ChatGPT. The new integration gives travellers another way to discover and plan their trips using conversational AI, with live availability and pricing available during their search.

What can customers do with easyJet in ChatGPT?

  • Search for easyJet flights

  • Search for easyJet holidays package holidays

  • View live availability and pricing

  • Check live easyJet flight status

  • Continue to easyJet.com or easyJet.com/holidays to complete their booking

How does the easyJet ChatGPT integration work?

Customers can access the functionality by connecting to the easyJet Plugin on the ChatGPT mobile app or website.

Once connected, customers can search for flights and package holidays as part of their ChatGPT conversation. Search results use live availability and pricing, before directing customers to easyJet.com for flights or easyJet.com/holidays for package holidays to complete their booking.

Customers flying with easyJet can also use the Plugin to check on the live status of their flight.

Why has easyJet launched a ChatGPT integration?

The launch comes as conversational AI is becoming an increasingly important travel planning tool, with customers turning to platforms like ChatGPT to research destinations, compare options and discover holiday recommendations. A recent survey* commissioned by easyJet found that 51% of respondents have used AI to plan a trip, with a further 17% considering doing so in the future. Among those using AI for travel planning, ChatGPT was the most popular platform used by 62% of respondents.

The findings are reflected in easyJet’s own website traffic data. Organic traffic from ChatGPT to easyJet.com for flights has grown by 400% year- on-year, while traffic to easyJet.com/holidays for package holidays has increased by 125% year on year, demonstrating the growing role conversational AI is playing in how customers search for holidays.

Ian Chambers, Digital Director at easyJet and easyJet holidays, commented: “We’re always looking at how technology can make travel easier for our customers, from booking through to boarding, and we know more and more people are using AI to discover, research and plan their trips. By bringing easyJet flight and package holiday search, as well as live flight information, directly into ChatGPT, we’re making it easier for customers to find the information they need in the places they’re increasingly choosing to search.”
