High-speed Wi-Fi is coming to easyJet flights. From 2027, easyJet will offer Wi-Fi onboard its flights for the first time, fitting its A320, A320neo, and A321neo fleet. The roll out of easyJet Wi-Fi, using high-speed satellite internet powered by SpaceX’s Starlink, is expected to be completed by early 2028.

The announcement of high-speed Wi-Fi on aircrafts marks the first time easyJet will offer internet access to passengers onboard its flights. Once fitted, easyJet passengers will be able to stream, game and browse on their own devices while on board aircraft.

Does easyJet have Wi-Fi now?

Not yet, but it's on the way. easyJet’s roll out of high-speed onboard Wi-Fi will begin in the first half of 2027. Passengers flying with easyJet before the onboard Wi-Fi roll out begins should download films, music, maps and boarding passes before leaving home.

The easyJet app stores mobile boarding passes on your phone, so you can board without a signal.

When will easyJet flights have Wi-Fi?

Installation of high-speed Wi-Fi on easyJet aircraft begins in the first half of 2027, and the airline expects every aircraft in the roll out to be fitted by early 2028. Because aircraft are fitted in stages, some easyJet flights will have Wi-Fi in 2027 while others will not until the roll out finishes.

What onboard Wi-Fi will easyJet have?

Onboard Wi-Fi on easyJet will be high-speed satellite internet, fast enough for streaming, gaming and browsing. The connection is powered by Starlink and operated by SpaceX, which uses a constellation of satellites in low-Earth orbit.

In its announcement, easyJet describes Starlink, the technology behind its new onboard Wi-Fi, as "the fastest Wi-Fi in the sky".

What can you do with Wi-Fi on an easyJet flight?

Once an easyJet aircraft is fitted with high-speed Wi-Fi, passengers will be able to use the internet much as they would on the ground.

Why is easyJet adding Wi-Fi to its flights?

With around 100 million passengers flying with easyJet each year, the airline says staying connected matters to both holidaymakers and business travellers. Adding high-speed Wi-Fi is part of easyJet's focus on making travel easy and affordable, by giving customers more choice onboard.

"In an increasingly digital world, staying connected matters more than ever to many of our customers, whether that's holidaymakers looking to unwind with inflight entertainment, or our business customers keeping up to speed with what's happening on the ground." – Kenton Jarvis, CEO, easyJet

What does easyJet Wi-Fi mean for easyJet holidays customers?

Package holidays from easyJet holidays pair easyJet flights with hotels, so holidaymakers travelling on a fitted aircraft from 2027 will get onboard Wi-Fi on the way to their destination. Wi-Fi availability will depend on which aircraft operates your flight while the roll out is under way.
