Sports equipment

Adults, children and infants (with their own seats) can each add one piece of sports equipment to their booking. You can do this online or via our mobile app while booking flights, or later in Manage Bookings or during online check-in.

You can also do this at the airport or via our Customer Services Team but it does cost a little more. See our fees and charges.

Once you’ve booked sports equipment we’re unable to offer you a refund should you change your mind.

We have a maximum hold allowance to ensure we have enough room for everyone's bags, so you can only book a maximum of 6 items of large sports equipment for any booking online. If you‘d like to add more than this, please contact our Customer Services Team. There’s no charge for this, but they’ll have to check available space.

If you didn’t book directly on easyjet.com or via our App you’ll need to contact our Customer Services Team to add your items.

Bicycles are permitted for carriage provided that specific criteria is met:

• the bicycle must be packaged in a bicycle box or bicycle bag
• only one bicycle per box/bag is permitted
• no other items can be carried in the bicycle box/bag (i.e. clothing)
• the handlebars must be flush with the frame.
• pedals must be removed or flush against the frame

Bicycles with hydraulic suspensions or brake systems will be accepted.

Electric bicycles are not permitted for travel.

A non-refundable fee will be charged. A bicycle can be added at the time of making your booking. Alternatively if you wish to add a bicycle once your booking has been confirmed and your booking was made online at easyJet.com please login to your My easyJet account and go to ‘My bookings'. Click the ‘View’ button on the required booking and 'Add Sports Equipment' from the menu on the right hand side.

If your booking was made through our contact centre, at the airport or by a travel agent you can add a bicycle by contacting our Customer Service Team.

Sporting or competition firearms can be put in the aircraft hold. You must be over 18 years of age, or travelling with someone over 18 years of age.

The following types of firearms are permitted:

• Sporting shotguns with barrels of longer than 24 inches (60cms)
• Sporting rifles (including Air Rifles) of any calibre, but not semi-automatic weapons with a larger bore than .22
• Sporting single shot handguns with a calibre of .22 or less
• Any rifles and handguns with a calibre of .22 or less

Firearms must be unloaded and packed in a suitable gun bag. A maximum of 5kgs of ammunition is permitted per passenger and it must be packed securely, ideally in the manufacturer's container. Ammunition with explosive or incendiary projectiles is prohibited.

Before you travel you must contact our Customer Services team to add a sporting or competition firearm to your booking, as well as complete the Firearms Declaration Form and bring it to the airport with you when travelling.

One Firearms Declaration Form must be completed per firearm you intend to carry (even if they’re in the same case).

You’ll need the following documents to hand and you’ll need to bring them with you to the airport:

1. documentation and licences
2. export/import licences
3. authorisation from local and national authorities.

Please make sure you arrive at the Bag Drop desks at least 90 minutes before Bag Drop closes to ensure that we can carry out all the necessary checks. If you arrive after this time, you may not be permitted to fly.
