The most popular months to fly to Athens are June, July and August when the sizzling weather is ideal for hitting the beach and exploring on boat trips. It's also when the city's programme of events is at its fullest with events such as the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, the International Jazz and Blues Festival and Rockwave Festival keeping everyone entertained.
Avoid the crowds
