July and August are the most popular months to fly into Paphos with heatseekers delighting in the hot summer temperatures, dry weather and warm Mediterranean waters. You'll find the area's blue flag beaches at their most lively and the weather perfect for long evenings spent sipping fine wines on family-run restaurant terraces. Summer is also the best time to see sea turtles at nearby Lara Bay, just a 30-minute drive away.
Avoid the crowds
For plenty of peace and quiet and pleasantly warm temperatures, fly into Paphos in spring or autumn. Between May to June and September to October, the beach will still be a viable option with the sea heating up by June and staying warm into September at least. You'll also find that resorts and hotels are less crowded with attractions in the UNESCO-protected ancient city easier to navigate.
