Best time to visit

Sunseekers flock to Dubrovnik during the long dry summer months of July and August as temperatures soar and the beach and sea are at their best. This is high season for Dubrovnik's boisterous party scene with visiting international DJs and the legendary Dubrovnik Summer Festival.

Avoid the crowds

For cooler temperatures and more space to yourself, fly into Dubrovnik from May to June or September to October. You'll find that although the cruise ships with their throngs of visitors have mostly disappeared, the weather is still lovely and warm and perfect for sunbathing and swimming. The night scene may be a trifle quieter but there's still plenty of fun to be had.
