• Help loved ones take to the skies fear-free in 2026 with easyJet’s Fearless Flyer course

  • Courses from January to March 2026 are available to book with experience flights at nine airports across the UK with courses starting from £89

  • Since 2012, over 14,000 individuals have taken to the skies after successfully completing the course, with the programme achieving over 95% success rate.

Give the gift of fearless flight this Christmas with easyJet’s course which helps nervous flyers to overcome their fear and take to the skies with confidence.

Nine courses are running from 17 January 2026 to 19 March 2026, with experience flights taking off at Luton, Gatwick, Southend, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Belfast, as well as Jersey for the first time ever, giving a convenient choice of nine locations across the UK.

easyJet’s Fearless Flyer course continues to be one of the best-priced aerophobia programmes in the UK, starting at £89 per person for the online-only course. Since 2012, the programme has helped over 14,000 individuals, with a success rate of more than 95%.

With one in six people estimated to be a nervous flyer, the course offers reassurance and winning techniques by senior easyJet pilots and phobia experts to help combat concerns around flying to help even the most ardent aerophobe to overcome their fear of flying.

easyJet’s Fearless Flyer course is divided into three main parts:

  • A virtual ground course, where an easyJet captain explains the unfamiliar sounds and sensations customers feel onboard an aircraft during take off, landing and during times of turbulence. In addition, Lawrence Leyton, a leading expert in the psychology of fear, teaches a unique set of mind techniques to help manage nerves.

  • A pre-flight one-hour ‘Meet the Team’ online Zoom session, where participants will be walked through the airport experience and what to expect. There will also be a Q&A session with the Fearless Flyer Team including an easyJet pilot, Lawrence Leyton and Course Director Mark Wein, who shares his tips and advice on how he overcame his own fear of flying many years ago.

  • And lastly, a special one-hour experience flight, from the course airport, where customers put their new skills to the test whilst listening to a live commentary of the flight from the Fearless Flyer team.

Mark Wein, easyJet’s Fearless Flyer Course Director, said:

“As someone who used to have a fear of flying, I understand only too well how restrictive this fear can be, but it really isn’t that difficult to overcome. Often, it’s just a lack of knowledge that is the root cause of the issue, which is why the easyJet Fearless Flyer course is so successful.

“I really do encourage anyone with any doubts about flying to book now and change your life. Or if you know someone who has a fear of flying, the course makes the perfect Christmas present if you want to help them overcome their fears so they can travel in total confidence the next time they take a flight.”

Fiona Deans, who attended easyJet’s 200th Fearless Flyer course on 10 May 2025 at London Gatwick Airport, said:

“I’m so glad I finally had the courage to book onto the fearless flying course. I hadn’t flown for 18 years until this morning. The crew and easyJet staff are all very welcoming, reassuring and spent time with everyone on the flight to make sure we were all ok. They meet you at check in and stay with you until after the flight. Having time sitting on the plane before and afterwards was really good to have the time to talk to the pilots and crew. It was a great experience and I wish I’d done it years ago!”

In 2022, easyJet published its roadmap to net zero by 2050. The roadmap, which also features a combination of fleet renewal, operational efficiencies, airspace modernisation, Sustainable Aviation Fuel and carbon removal technology, has set an ambitious interim carbon emissions intensity reduction target of 35% by 2035, validated by the Science-based targets initiative (SBTi). The airline’s ultimate aim is to fully transition its fleet to zero carbon emission technology, which it will achieve through a number of strategic partnerships including with Airbus, Rolls-Royce and GKN Aerospace Solutions. Since 2000, the airline has successfully reduced its carbon emissions per passenger, per kilometre by one-third and is the number 1 ESG rated airline in Europe by Sustainalytics, MSCI and CDP.
