Bucharest, like much of Eastern Europe, has experienced a bit of a renaissance of late, which has brought with it not only a host of new plush hotels, shopping centres and international restaurants, but a lively nightlife with a booming club scene.
Huge industrial sized nightclubs attract the masses in the winter months, making way for stylish rooftop terrace bars in the summer. And if all that sounds a bit lively, Bucharest offers a whole host of gentler options too. Anyone up for a night of opera? Or how about a bit more culture in the form of some of Romania’s best museums and biggest collections of art? And for something a little bit more unique don’t forget to pay the Palace of the Parliament a visit.
