easyJet’s brand new uniform, proudly designed and manufactured by Tailored Image, has been unveiled at a 30th Birthday celebration at London Luton Airport.

This exciting new wardrobe has been the culmination of over two years of collaboration between easyJet and Tailored Image, resulting in a suite of garments that has been carefully crafted to suit the needs of crew based in eight countries across Europe.

Tailored Image first won the easyJet uniform contract back in 2020. In March 2023, discussions began around a new bespoke uniform suite that would ensure maximum comfort and ease for cabin crew and pilots and suitably versatile for use in a range of hot and cold climates across easyJet’s European bases. The brief was to create a uniform solution that would be stylish, elegant, timeless and would give a nod to the easyJet orange.

The first step in the journey was to ascertain feedback from Brand and Customer ambassadors surrounding the existing uniform, garnering insightful information on what worked and didn’t work regarding the garments from both a wearer and customer perspective. The Innovation & Technical Team at Tailored Image then set about the lengthy process of designing, gaining feedback and refining each separate garment until a solution was arrived at that met or exceeded the expectations of the easyJet team. This process involved a systematic series of wearer trials, each aimed at determining exactly how materials would perform on duty and the comfort and satisfaction levels of easyJet’s pilots and crew.

Now in November 2025, this new uniform has reached the exciting milestone of being officially launched, having been successfully delivered to over 14,000 cabin crew and flight deck teams involved across easyJet’s 33 European bases. This effective delivery has been guaranteed by a concerted cross-department effort at Tailored Image, including diligent customer service teams, warehouse staff and strong logistics partnerships, not to mention the company’s award-winning online ordering system which mimics the efficiency and ease of use of a high-street retailer.

Natalie Puncher, easyJet’s Customer and Standards Manager and the lead on the project, had this to say on her experience:

“It gives me great pride to be launching our new pilot and crew uniform, as we mark our 30th year.

“Our focus for the last three decades has been on making travel easy, not just for the 100m customers we carry across Europe each year, but for the thousands of pilots and crew who provide them with the warmest welcome and a fantastic experience when they fly with us.”

“It’s been a joy to work with Tailored Image and to utilise their expertise for this important launch and we look forward to our continued work with them as we take off into our fourth decade as a commercial airline”.

Regarding its old crew uniform, easyJet revealed last week its ambition to recycle or donate 100% of retired garments from its old uniform, aiming to pass on many of items still fit for reuse to support a range of charities in the places closest to its operations. Initially, it will be donating thousands of retired crew uniforms in a bid to support British families struggling to deal with the rising cost of school clothing - launching the initiative with Luton-based charity the Level Trust, adding stock to the charity’s Uniform Exchange programme to ensure older year students living in the area have access to suitable school clothing.

In 2022, easyJet published its roadmap to net zero by 2050. The roadmap, which also features a combination of fleet renewal, operational efficiencies, airspace modernisation, Sustainable Aviation Fuel and carbon removal technology, has set an ambitious interim carbon emissions intensity reduction target of 35% by 2035, validated by the Science-based targets initiative (SBTi). The airline’s ultimate aim is to fully transition its fleet to zero carbon emission technology, which it will achieve through a number of strategic partnerships including with Airbus, Rolls-Royce and GKN Aerospace Solutions. Since 2000, the airline has successfully reduced its carbon emissions per passenger, per kilometre by one-third and is the number 1 ESG rated airline in Europe by Sustainalytics, MSCI and CDP.

Innovation is in easyJet’s DNA – since launching nearly 30 years ago, easyJet changed the way people fly to the present day where the airline leads the industry in digital and operational innovations to make travel easier and more affordable for its passengers.
