Customers who are residents of Germany and have a German current account and who book through Our German website, can use ELV as a payment option. ELV is only offered if the transaction is in Euros (€) and the Booking is made at least 14 days before the departure date of Your Flight.
Please ensure that You create the Booking in the Euro (€) currency. Where You make the Booking and the price is not displayed in Euros (€), please ensure that You change the currency and select Euros (€) as the payment option during the course of making Your Booking.
It can take up to 14 days before We receive confirmation of Your payment when the ELV payment option is chosen, although the charge should be processed against Your current account within approximately four days of You making a Booking. For this reason, We can only accept changes to the Booking via a telephone call to our Customer Service Team which must be 14 days after the original Booking has been made. If the change involves a change to Your Flight, the date of the new Flight must also be at least 14 days from the date You make the change, otherwise You will need to pay for the change via a credit or debit card. All changes must be made via telephoning our Customer Service Team. When using the ELV payment method, You must ensure the following:
- You have used the correct account details;
- You have used a current account and not a savings account; and
- You have sufficient funds in Your current account at the time of making the Booking.
If You cannot satisfy each and all of the above requirements, You should not use this payment method.
If You use this payment method and any of the above requirements are not fulfilled and:
(a) the departure date for the Flight You have booked is 14 days or less, We will contact the Booker via telephone or email to take an alternative form of payment to both recharge the Booker and charge the Booker an additional administrative fee of €25. If an alternative form of payment is not provided within 48 hours of easyJet contacting the Booker, We will cancel the Booking without notice to the Booker. If the Booker has failed to provide Us with contact details in the Booking, the Booking will automatically be cancelled without notice to the Booker; or
(b) the departure date for the Flight You have booked is in 15 days or more, We will automatically recharge the account details provided to Us and charge the Booker an additional administrative fee of €25. If this re-presented charge fails a second time, We will advise the Booker via telephone or email that the Booking has been cancelled and that the Booker will need to re-make the Booking at the price available at the time the Booker makes the second Booking.
If the Booker has failed to provide Us with contact details in the Booking, the Booking will automatically be cancelled without notice to the Booker. If You notice that the payment has failed before We do, do not re-transfer the amount, as the recharge by Us will occur automatically.
If We are required to provide You with a refund for any reason (see Article 6 (Refunds and Cancellation Fees), You agree that such refund will be made to You in the form of a bank transfer.
