While Andorra does have its own small domestic airport, there are currently no flights to Andorra from the UK. However, there are still a lot of options to get there using existing flight routes to popular cities nearby. Book a flight with easyJet to airports near Andorra including Barcelona (200 km away) and Toulouse (185 km away). From either airport, you can either choose to hire a car to drive around two hours and forty-five minutes on scenic mountain roads, or take a coach. There are some train options, but they’re not very direct, so could lead to a significantly longer journey.
Andorra may be small, but it’s mighty. It’s best known for its beautiful outdoors, so you can spend summer days happily hiking on trails through lush valleys and round pristine lakes. In the winter, enjoy stunning vistas as you explore the Pyrenees mountains while skiing or snowboarding. As a plus, Andorra is very affordable compared to some of the other top European ski spots, so you can enjoy your time on the slopes for less.
And while the nature in Andorra certainly impresses, the capital city of Andorra la Vella has a lot to offer. The charming old town welcomes you in with boutique shops, cosy cafes, and friendly locals, and you’ll often find a local festival or event happening. One day, you might get to experience a traditional Catalan Stew festival – the next, an international Jazz showcase. And one other thing that sets Andorra apart is its duty-free status- so you can shop to your heart’s content, by finding tax-free bargains at luxury shops in the city centre.
