"Hopefully this will serve as a warning to future customers. We booked a one night stay but are probably guilty of making some basic mistakes. Firstly, this review is based solely on the hotel as I cannot comment on the lodges. We booked, believing it to be a five star resort. Thinking that it has a sauna and hot-tub facilities. While it's still unclear even now, it appears the hotel has these facilities but have to be booked in advance, which as of right now is at the current cost of £80. My overall riding thoughts throughout this entire stay: What exactly does this hotel offer that justifies it being five star. They've 2 receptions it transpires, one for lodges and the other for the hotel. After waiting 10 mins to check-in, it was then we were told we went to the wrong reception. If only they had signs. Onto the room. After getting checked in, we thought we'd at least booked a room with jacuzzi bath, but no. It was a standard room, small shower. No easily accessible sockets, or modern amenities like USB charging, a tv thats about 10yrs too old and about 10 inch too small. Even if it was upgraded to a Smart TV the WiFi in the hotel is so poor it wouldn't be sufficient to watch anything decent. The view was disappointing with a stunning look over a boggy paddock. The restaurant/bar, looked lively but appears this is a combination of people eating and taking away. The hotel feels isolated, its a 20 min walk or 5min taxi to Bishopton. Which was the only saving grace for our night. No entertainment in the hotel, supposedly theres some on a Saturday night. The staff albeit very nice are all teenagers or in their early 20's. Which is admirable but also feels a bit dysfunctional at times. The breakfast was okay. As others have reported a standard selection of fry-up versus cereals and toast etc. The coffee machine is awful, and the layout is confusing. Again it begs how its 5 star, I've stayed in bed and breakfasts with more personality than this hotel. Ive no doubt that as a wedding venue this place would be excellent but for a couple on a night away I couldn't wait to leave. At £150 for a night away with nothing to offer, there are far better places to spend your money."

"Booked a 3 bedroom lodge with hot tub for 5 adults for my dad's 80th birthday at a cost of just under £460 for 1 night incl breakfast. . Two guests waited 45mins in the afternoon, on arrival, for soup and coffees and waited longer still after chasing up! We had also reserved a table for 6 in Palominos Restaurant for dinner. The restaurant service was pretty awful, we had to keep asking where our drinks order was, asked 3 times for condiments which turned up pretty much when everyone was done eating. Staff were pleasant/friendly but that's not the same as efficient or competent. We tried to overlook and enjoy the night but the food quality was also very hit and miss. We were incredibly disappointed, given the occasion, that both food and service was so poor so much so I opted to speak with Ross who was Duty Manager at the time. Can I just say HE was the best thing about this entire visit, he took the time to listen and address our concerns all with good humour and banter. Sadly it didn't entirely make up for such a poor impression for our guests and experience for dad's 80th birthday. Breakfast, I believe, was good which was just as well as there was no chance the guests could have cooked for themselves given the dreadful state of the cooker/grill in the lodge itself. Not even 2* standard of cleanliness (see photo attached). Ingliston also "hold" a housekeeping fee of £100 in case of damage ... over and above the £460 for the lodge which is rich really given housekeeping was lacking here! I had expected contact from Ingliston post-stay, as most places do, to ask how things went and gain constructive customer feedback, however, this does not seem to be something they do thus just leaving review here."

"February overnight with my wife through Myhotelbreak deal. The estate is lovely and well maintained. Dark when we arrived so didn’t see it in all its glory!Hotel check in well organised . Our classic room, although fairly small, was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. View of the paddock/ equestrian area??Welcome bottle of quality red wine awaited us. Extras also enhanced the experience including toiletries and bottled water together with tea, coffee and cookies. Our bed was large, 2 twins joined together and tbh, not very successfully. A bit uneven at the centre! Had booked our evening meal for 7.30 and headed to the bar for drinks about an hour before. Staff member asked us to sit at the bar for these. Unfortunately couldn’t as most of the free area was completely covered in used glasses. Quite apparent that the staff were struggling to cope with how busy the restaurant was and glasses were stacking up. We did however find a table and enjoyed the cocktails there. Expertly made!! Our deal included 2 courses . Choices for the deal were extremely limited tbh! Usually if you chose something else it would itemise a supplement which we would have been happy to pay for. Not in this case. Starters were fine as were the mains, large portions and tasty overall. Problem was we waited an hour from finishing our starters to receiving our mains. Disappointing. Ross , the floor manager, was outstanding at handling our disappointment. He insisted we enjoy some lovely desserts and coffees as way of an apology. He really did put customer satisfaction at the top of his list!!! The buffet breakfast in the morning, both hot and continental was very good with a wide selection. Stand out was the fresh fruits !!! Overall a very good experience and superb value!"
