"Our second visit to the concorde el salam front hotel and we couldn't fault anything. Nothing was too much for the staff. In the main restaurant, the service from Ibrahim, Wael and his team was outstanding. Very attentive and always checking that we didn't want anything. Mohammed x 2, mahmoud, hoosam and shehab at the cocktail (vendome) bar always had a smile on their faces and went out of their way to make sure everything was ok. This was the same with the piano bar (mahmoud, Ayman, mohammed and youssef - hope i didn't forget anyone). Tips were very much appreciated but were not expected. They all provided excellent service either way.
The food was always plentiful and tasty and there was always something to eat. If you have allergies just ask the staff and they will always help you.
Great choice of drinks and cocktails (alcoholic and non alcoholic).
There are dancers, followed by a singer in the main restaurant every evening. There is also a piano player in the piano bar most evenings. There were various parties eg. Beach / foam across the 2 hotels (front and sport) every day. There was also a wide choice of daytime activities.
My husband unfortunately got bitten very badly by mosquitos and we had to visit the doctor at the hotel. He was very friendly and professional and his English was excellent. He dealt with the insurance company and had a great knowledge of his conditions and understood that he could not have antihistamines.
Sand flies and mosquitoes were an issue but go to the chemist or the local supermarket and get a can of OFF spray. All the staff recommend it.
All areas of the hotel are well maintained and are immaculately kept. There are always maintenance staff and gardeners around.
The room cleaner (unfortunately i did not get his name but it was the beach front room 6129) was lovely and left us towel art or flowers every day.
Soho square is a 5 minute walk away and is lovely in the evening with lots of illuminations and water features. All the shops are fixed price and they are not allowed to hassle you.
The hotel is built on a hill so not great for people with walking difficulties but there are golf buggies and the staff are always willing to take you where you want to go. They even took us up to Soho square a couple of times.
The sister sport hotel is well worth a visit especially if you have kids. There are water slides and an equestrian centre.
Sharm airport was an experience. Lots of security checks. The first time, it took us nearly 2 hours to get through them all. We were dreading it a bit the second time but it only took 30 minutes. You just have to go with the flow and remember that they are just doing their jobs.
Overall, despite the mosquitoes it was a lovely holiday and we are already planning to return for a 3rd time next year."
