Marmaris Bay Resort

"Really loved this place and the only reason we gave 4 out of 5 was due to the fact that it needs some renovation and tidying up otherwise an absolute loving break. Set in a beautiful and tranquil location and about 20mins by bus away from Marmaris its self. You can get the bus into Marmaris from just outside the hotel complex for the not €1 bit unless you want to buy tat and knock off fake clothing, I wouldn’t bother, stay in the hotel and relax!! The staff are lovely and really helpful and the food for an all inclusive was absolutely fine. Shout out to Abu who was great fun and very attentive."

"The hotel is in a stunning location perched on a pineclad hill near the Marmaris Yacht marina. This is around 15 minutes by dolmus from the centre of Marmaris. The accommodation is in blocks of 4 which surrounds a central village area where restaurants, bars and the main pool are located. The grounds are vast and well kept. We spent most of our time around the relax pool and ventured to the main beach to catch the late afternoon sun. Never any issues with sunbeds. The pool was freezing but we were up for the challenge! The sea temperature was warmer! Tip....bring aqua shoes as the entrance to the sea is stony. Accommodation was good. We did have some noise issues with people generally not being aware of others...dragging furniture, arguing, showering at 1.30am!! The bathrooms although dated were well equipped....a very good shower and a powerful hairdryer. The accommodation was let down by the lack of soundproofing...especially the bathrooms. Tip...request an upstairs room. This should in theory be less noisy. Location was fine for us. There were steps but we knew this before booking. Golf buggies were available to take you from and too your accommodation. Food was generally quite good. We always found something we liked. We ate at the seafood a la carte restaurant. Setting was stunning, service attentive and the food was good....bar the dessert. Tip...Sea Salt for lunch...always cooked from fresh. Choice of pizza, pasta and grilled chicken all very good! We spent most nights at the main entertainment area. Entertainment was good with a couple of fantastic acts, the Colombian dance group and the brother/Sister singers. The on site shops we didn't bother with apart from the Turkish delight, soaps and tea/coffee shop opposite reception. Good and interesting selection and not too expensive! We took the dolmus into Marmaris a couple of times and the boat taxi from Marmaris to Icmeler. Very good value at 500 TL return. The BEST thing about the resort is the staff. A BIG SHOUT OUT to Beritan and mad Abdu who looked after us so well! Overall we had a lovely 10 nights relaxing break and would highly recommend."
