"Stayed for 4 nights.
Check in not very welcoming but the guy taking our cases was much happier, had a nice welcome drink.
Room was very nice, large and clean, we had a comfortable stay, for the rate you pay it was as should be expected really. Balcony was large, we enjoyed our time relaxing there.
Did not like the rubbish milk pods so got fresh milk from Nao restaurant and tea bags
as not replenished or only left one !
Had a bottle of water and chocolate left in room, would have expected more for the room rate, I did hint and was given a bottle of cava which was appreciated.
Pool area is peaceful and comfortable, there is lots of concrete flooring which looks ugly though.
Breakfast - was all good, we had all we needed and more, enjoyed it.
Nao Buffett - this is, I feel what lets the hotel down, we planned to eat two nights as had freinds to meet other nights. Tried one night Asian theme, firstly I think the area is too small for the hotel and not that much choice, the cooking station is not great they have frying pans, steam oven and deep fat fryers ! and samples of food on counter making it look like a canteeen, I had a starter of Samosa & Gyosa both were not cooked on small part warm the rest ice cold ! We decided to leave and go out. We tried to book a restaurant the only one we liked was not available, it was our last night and had an early start so tried Nao again as the theme was Mediterranean, this time was a little better but again the food is just not hot ! Starter of prawns was very nice with bread, next was lasgne but this was like a postage stamp and luke warm, next my fav chicken paella it looked good but again was cold I just could not be bothered after that, my husband took his back, they had not lit the flame underneath the large pan so he waited and got another portion, that was better. I tried cheese & crackers not a great selection and the same as in the morning, would have been nice to add difference options for the evening. Desserts looked OK but not much of a selction, two small glasses of medicore wine EUR10 !
I would not recommend going halfboard here becuase of the restaurant. They should have proper live cooking, we had just stayed at Iberostar Sabila (different category I know) but the food there is excellent with proper hot plate live cooking to order. I was expecting more from this hotel.
Not much soul to the place either, but we had a relaxing stay, not sure I would go again, I would spend my money elsewhere but I sure Barcelo will manage without me :)"
