"A great little hotel extremely convenient to both the Alcazar and Seville Cathedral, as well as the Santa Cruz neighborhood and its many dining options. The rooms are great. Ours was number 13 which had a decent view of the Royal gardens and peacocks which were near our balcony one morning. Some garden equipment in the foreground sullies the view, but only slightly and not enough to be a serious bother.
A highlight was the staff—and the included breakfast! Maria who checked us in provided a city map and marked off several suggested sights, which was very helpful. Everyone else we dealt with was equally pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was three courses and quickly delivered. It had a unique presentation and what I assume was a local flair. The ‘toast’ was amazing. Loved the peanut butter/banana and jam option, but there were a half dozen other choices. The granola and fruit with yogurt was also exceptional. On our getaway day, we had an early flight but they had ‘picnic’ boxes ready for us before breakfast hours with a panini and fruit, etc. Super helpful!
This place is also an easy walk to Tablao Di Arenal Flamenco (highly recommend) and Plaza España. It started raining just as we were leaving for the Flamenco show and the front desk had a cab ready for us in 4 minutes! Every member of the staff deserves recognition and I wish I had noted more of their names!
Well done to all of you!
PARKING: Our GPS could not get the car to the hotel without parking someplace and walking, so don’t bother trying. Park in the Roma Underground Parking Garage and use the elevator. It will deliver you 2 short blocks from the hotel. Easy walk.
GPS may also take you to the EXIT of the garage instead of the entrance, which is super irritating! So, here’s how to get it right… from the river boulevard heading north (P. De las Delicios on Google Maps), take a right onto Av. De Maria Luisa (it’s actually the first exit off a roundabout opposite a bridge over the river; there’s even one of those blue P signs on the corner and I believe it’s marked as Roma Parking). At the next roundabout, take the third exit (you’re essentially making a Left Turn on C. Palos de la Frontera). The road will jog to the right and then the left. The down ramp into the garage will be quickly on the right, again marked by a blue P sign, this time on top of a weird little cube of a building. GPS will have no idea how to do this. I highly recommend driving the route on Google Maps street view ahead of time to familiarize yourself with the look of it. That said, it isn’t hard at all to get right. Only GPS has the difficulty!"
