VIK Hotel San Antonio

"Well, what a holiday! Let's get the weather out the road( rubbish) but we made the most of it. What a lovely welcome when we arrived, lovely room at the end of corridor, spotless, spacious, large shower etc, our room was made up every day and towels changed every other day. Hotel is really big, dining room downstairs, food was great too loads of choice, piping hot too! Evening entertainment was excellent, every night was different and well produced. Staff where lovely from cleaning staff, to reception, to dinning room and also all the hard work from the kitchen staff, nothing was a bother. Was celebrating my hubbies 60th birthday,so I put banner and balloons in our room, but cleaning staff must have said to reception and they came to room with a bottle of champagne in a ice bucket ( also a bottle of water too) it fair made hubbie's day! I left a wee note for the cleaning staff, as I am a cleaner too, just to say how much I really appreciate all their hard work! ( Cleaners can be invisible to some) But not me, so a pat on the back for them as they are the backbone of a hotel. All in all a brilliant place to go to! AAAAA+++++++"

"Once again, I visited my favourite hotel in February to coincide with the Puerto del Carmen carnival. I’ve honestly lost count of how many times I’ve stayed here — but clearly the hotel hasn’t. On arrival at reception, I received the usual warm “welcome back,” but this time came with a lovely surprise. As a returning regular guest, I was upgraded to my favourite room (3316), and I was also given Gold Client status. I can only hope this continues on future visits. These gestures made me feel genuinely appreciated and reminded me why I keep coming back. I was remembered by all the staff in the bar and restaurant and was once again looked after in the restaurant by Guoqin who welcomed me back with a smile and had my favourite table ready for me at every meal. I am looking forward to booking my next visit later in the year."

"The whole experience while staying here is mostly positive on half board basis staying in a premium type room. The breakfasts are generally very good, and the food at dinner is again very good, however the task in navigating the buffet selection and feeding your dinner plate is a challenge with the hordes of other diners. This restaurant is very busy during all meal times. My advice is to take your meal as soon as opening times allow, where it feels a slightly more relaxing experience. The hotel reception staff are helpful as well as the majority of the waiters in the restaurant, they do the job as you would expect. My highlight of my stay in this hotel, has to be the room maid, taking care of my room everyday, the great job she carried out everyday, always with a smile and cheerful exchange of a few words. So thankyou Maria. The evening entertainment provided in the hotel was probably more suited to the more senior clientele, it could be described as appealing to tbe more elderly of the guests. The close proximity of the pdc strip with offerings is a nice alternative to The hotel. You will be pushed to find a better location at a beach hotel, I really enjoyed the pool everyday, with enough loungers to go- round, and watching the sunrise and sunset each day, simple pleasures. First holiday without my late wife, she would of approved of my choice."
