Los Tulipanes

"Stayed here for 6 nights in Oct and had a great time. The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything you would expect. The kitchen had pots/frying pans and all the glasses/plates/bowls/cutlery etc that you would need (even a corkscrew)....there also washing up liquid and a sponge scrubber which going by other reviews there wouldn't be? The cleaner came in every 2 days and the towels are changed every 3 days which is all perfectly adequate. The pool area was spotless and pool cleaned every morning. Both pools were great and at this time of the year still warm enough to spend lots of time in. The snackbar was great aswell, there was a relaxed atmosphere every day and we never heard any loud music from it at all which was on other reviews. The complex is in a very quite area and we we didn't hear any noise at night, It's a 5 minute walk to the big spar or 2 mini markets and 10minute walk down to the main strip with all the restaurants and bars and mostly flat all around. This end of Puerto Del Carmen is a bit quieter with no mad bars so that suited us aswell with lovely coves straight across the road from the strip. We also went to Rancho Texas which is literally 10minutes walk out from the back of the apartments with a brand new path along the main road. We had read a lot of review about break ins etc but never felt any unease - the bedroom windows had a locking grill first and then another locking sliding window inside, the patio door lock handle was on the inside only so couldn't be opened from the outside, the front door also had a double thumburn lock on the inside...so I don't undertand the reviews saying that people woke up to find people in the apartment - only thing I can think of is that they left doors open at night. Yes the apartment complex main gate is open at night but in reality the fence could be climbed over and when we looked around at all the other complexes nearby they all had either no walls or also low fences which could easily be climbed over so makes no difference in reality. For a 2 star apartment we were very happy with it and all the reviews I've read about minor issues like ants, towels, noise, security, cleanliness etc I don't get it.....they are a budget aprtment complex and a very good one at that so don't be expecting perfection for a low price. I'd be more than happy to go back again."

"My friend and I stayed here for 4 days and it was wonderful. The apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable, working Wifi, the pools are great and didn't have any problem getting a sunbed every day. There was a smart tv in the room which was great to sign into netflix or prime so we had something to watch when we got back to the room. Its a short walk into the centre of Puerto del Carmen so although the bar closes around 6pm this isn't an issue just means its nice and quiet in the complex for a good nights sleep. Waking refreshed and ready for the following day. I don't understand why people have left negative reviews, it doesn't state there is any aircon and does offer fan hire although we took our own. There is no way into the apartment unless a door/window is left open as there are no handles on the outside so we were and felt perfectly safe during our stay. We would definitely stay again.
