"Holiday was booked with Tui. Expensive, and overall it nowhere near meets the expectations I had sadly. Writing this while still there on March 10th 2026.
Built at the top of a cliff overlooking the sea. Every staff member at this hotel was honestly amazing, helpful, happy, other than the Tui reps who were absolutely useless unless you were buying from them.
Beautiful views from the rooms, all facing the same way. Room, well kind of old and worn feeling. The loo smelt, not dirty but like an unpleasant and overpowering cleaning product. It wasn’t nice. Cupboard doors don’t shut. Huge draft down the hall so when open the front door, the second room door slams, hard.
Small balcony but view is great.
The hotel is built kind off upside down. Floor 9 is pools, 8 reception, entertainments, food, below that is rooms. While writing this at 21:24, and again at 21:52, every night and every morning is a very loud and lasting between 2 to 5 minutes is (I don’t know what it is) like a generator being fired up. I’m in room 130 on floor 1 and this is loud. Really annoyed me. We are early bed early rise and this really caused some bother. You can also hear what I assume is the kitchen cleaning dishes for many hours during the night.
We requested a hotel/room with accessibility for our son who has difficulty with long walks or lots of steps. Probably best you don’t go here if you have the same requirements. Accessibility is poor at best. Even to get to a pool. Multiple steps, covering long walks with lifts that never seem to be available or have queues to get in, and some very uneven flooring that could be easily fixed.
The pools are not that deep. No deep end either. Only say a meter. Pool for the little ones is up more steps but its a nice quiet area. My eldest said the pool tasted like salty chips for some reason. Whatever the taste was it wasn't salty chips and it wasn't very pleasant. Certainly not chlorine.
3rd night in my youngest was unwell, violently sick for a few hours, he barely eat anything for the rest of the holiday after that night. 4th night in, I was also violently sick with diarrhea thrown in to add to the fun. 5th night in my partner and eldest were also violently sick and or diarrhea to tag along, my partner seeming unwell for longer than the rest off us. Due to this we missed a submarine trip that we booked via the Tui app prior to the holiday, better to be booked and prepared we thought. Well turns out the reps cannot refund anything unless booked via them at the site, and even then would require a doctors not as proof. To have a doctor come to the hotel, €130, per person, so for a doctors note to say 2 people (technically 4 as me and youngest still felt wonky but were recovering) were to ill to go on a trip would have cost double the amount of the trip it self. Never getting that money back. So after 4 people violently spewing and pooping stuck in a room for nearly 48 hours, we got the added sickner of losing £130 to a trip we didn't manage to go on through no fault of our own. It is the same price to be assessed by a doc a few hundred meters up the road also in a medical building.
Now we have 1 full day left, in a hotel we are now scared to eat the food or go in the pool. Can have a drink with ice because I don’t know if the ice is tap or bottled water. Apparently the tap water is ok here but we didn’t risk that. Bottled only, still all ill.
So hopefully all 4 of us will get somewhat of a good nights sleep tonight as I finish writing this after the hell of the last 48 hours and try and enjoy the last day but in my mind, this holiday has been a £3000 disaster really and first family holiday ruined with us unlikely to leave the UK ever again for a holiday. Bitterly disappointed and my children’s first holiday experience will be a memory of trapped in a noisy room being painfully ill.
I'll must add, the hotel food all seemed really nice so I cannot connect that to the illness really but couldn't rule it out either. The hotel staff were great."
