"We haven't even been here for a full day and it has been so disappointing. Our flight and journey to the hotel had been delayed, so we checked in late at night on Saturday, the 1st. When we got to our room, we were disappointed. My boyfriend upgraded us to a family room. We are celebrating our two year anniversary and were disappointed to find that there's literally just two single beds put next to each other in one room with an L-shaped couch, TV and table in a separate room. There were squished mosquitos on the wall of the bathroom, the blood had not been wiped away. There's what we can only say looks like mold on the shower head and the facilities are not well kept. We went to reception to ask if there's any chance we could get a better room and were told that it was too late and that we must please see in the morning what could be done to accommodate us as it may be possible to move us. The two men were really nice. The next morning, after breakfast, we went to reception. We asked the lady, Jana, how she was. She said not to ask as she was on her own and appeared visibly upset by this. She asked what was wrong. When we explained that the room wasn't very clean, she said that it was, implying that I was being dishonest. I tried, to politely explain that we were there to ask her for her help and that she shouldn't be telling me that I'm being dishonest. She then went on to say several times that they can't do anything to help us as the hotel is fully booked and this without even looking to make sure. Given the number of guests at the breakfast service and around the facilities at the hotel, we find it hard to believe that this is true, given the size of the place. When I asked if it was an option to check out, she rudely said to contact our agent. When I said to her that she doesn't need to be rude, she asked me "what do you want from me"? About 30 minutes after that, a lady knocked on our bedroom door and seemed incredibly upset. She didn't greet or anything, she just started pacing around, sweeping, knocking things over and has since been giving the room a clean. The safe in our room is broken, so we can't even put any valuables in there. Kindness and politeness. That's all one would hope for when you've spent over £1000 to stay at a place. It's shocking how we have been treated by some of the staff for merely raising concerns about the facilities not being up to scratch. People come here to get away from stress. To have a good time. Staff should not be compromising people's holidays by being so rude and unwilling to help. I get that some people can be rude and make it hard for them too, but we were not being rude and to approach us with hostility from the outset, should not be tolerated by staff. We will never come back here and will highly recommend that people think twice before they spend their hard earned money here. The staff have been more disappointing than the rundown facilities. Pictures taken after room had been cleaned. Mosquito blood left on bathroom wall. Mold left on shower head."
