Elba Carlota Beach & Golf Resort

"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had a lovely view from the top floor. The food was good with lots of options, a different theme each evening which we enjoyed. Food is well replenished and tasty. There is a restaurant you can book to eat at but unfortunately it was fully booked when we went to make a reservation so be quick if you want this! The staff are lovely with a good sense of humour. I’ve read other reviews complaining about staff and preferential treatment, we did not experience anything like this at all. The staff work very hard with a smile on their faces. Beach is lovely and just off the hotel, would recommend getting a snorkel as you can see some wonderful tropical fish in the sea! The only thing we felt the hotel lacked was entertainment at the lobby bar in the evenings. We enjoy sitting outside on holiday and all the evening entertainment was downstairs, indoors except for Thursday where they had live music in the lobby bar. The main town is about 15/20 mins walk, would recommend Pieros for live music! Weather was much hotter than expected and less windy than we thought which was a plus - a great spot for winter sun! Overall we had a wonderful stay and would return back."

"We have just returned home after our family Holiday at Elba Carlota to celebrate our 41st Wedding Anniversary, and my Wife’s 61st Birthday both falling while we were on Holiday this October. We booked this holiday last November. So we saved up for our family holiday with high expectations, As we had already stayed twice before at the sister Hotel, the Elba Sara which we always enjoyed during our time there, so we were really looking forward to this Holiday at Elba Carlota. When we booked a year ago, it was noted that we asked for a quieter room if possible, as our 13 year old son has Autism, and struggles in crowds, and loud noise. A week before our flight I emailed the Hotel just reminding them of the requests we had already made a year ago when we booked the Holiday. We had wrote that we were looking forward to celebrating our special occasion’s, and even though a room with a nice view would be lovely, the more important part was that it was in a quite part of the Hotel for our son. We arrived late evening on Saturday 25th October, and the next morning in daylight checking the balcony it was quite obvious they had given us the complete opposite of what we had asked for. There was a huge Palm tree blocking out most of any view, then mid morning the noise started from the Swimming pool Loud Speakers pumping out music that you would expect if you had gone on holiday in to Ibiza. It drove my son up the wall, so i had to go to Reception to speak with the staff there, and I was basically told that is what you have got. So the day after on the Monday, we had been for a walk we came back to the room to relax, and cool down hoping to sit on the balcony. But the noise was so bad, we had to shut the balcony door, so i went back to Reception. This time speaking with a different member of Staff they promised to move us but it would be the day after, so on Tuesday, day four of our Holiday, We were moved only a few doors away from the original room. It was only slightly quieter as it wasn't over looking the swimming pool with the Speakers blaring away. But it was still noisy due to the building work going on straight in front of our Balcony area. Ive never looked forward to flying home at the end of a holiday, as much as i have on this occasion. We have been travelling to Fuerteventura since my son was less than one year old, and apart from a few years during the Pandemic, right up to now, as he is now 13 years old. We travel to the same resort, as it’s a family friendly area, and it feels familiar, so he is very happy here. But this holiday was the worst experience we have had in all of the years of coming to Fuerteventura. One last thing, the Day before our Anniversary, and my Wife’s Birthday i popped into reception. I was assured our celebration would be recognised, as we have seen over the years, normally someone’s evening meal table would be set out, especially if your all inclusive as we were. Nothing happened on the day of our Anniversary/Birthday, as I expected it would not, given how we had already been treat. We had booked this Hotel on the good experience we had from its sister Hotel, so we were very sadly disappointed, and we will never ever return to this Hotel."

"The hotel is spacious with plenty of sun loungers around two pools. This hotel also has very nice well kept grounds which you may also sunbathe in. The room.s are a reasonable size, have nice fluffy towels, toiletries, s mini fridge, (safe at 3€ a day to rent) and a hospitality tray which is replenished when required. The rooms are cleaned daily, and the bed made. Towels changed at your request. The cleaning could be better. I found dirt around the shower screen, and behind the toilet. I came back one day to the cleaner not shutting my door properly. I did mention it to the person on reception, and asked her to tell the cleaners to be more mindful regarding this. The dining area is spacious with outside seating attached to it. Food is plentiful and I found it nice. Service for drink in the restaurant is slow. I went to the bar upstairs and got a drink and took it into the restaurant * (I was all inclusive) it was easier than waiting upto 20 mins at the busiest times. 6.30/ 7.30pm. The staff were all very nice. Entertainment every day around the pool, and in the bar downstairs. Theres a separate restaurant for a more personalised eating experience near the poolside bar. Drinks are plenty and the food there is very nice. A 15-20 min walk up to small harbour. A few shops and bars along the way. This is my 2nd visit to this hotel, and I will come here again. Just a few minor issues but it's a very popular hotel, and is always booked up early and busy. Don't be put off by the minor issues. It's lovely here! The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because of the bathroom not being too clean in parts."
