"The reception desk staff couldn't do enough. Ray, Violet, all of them were super friendly. It was a quiet hotel, everyone very civilised. The food was pretty good. I enjoyed the variety of meal options from one night to the next from the grill. The desserts weren't amazing, but the kids loved the ice cream machine. The pool was beautiful and the indoor pool was heated so that added to the enjoyment. The rooms were comfortable and the balcony was large. I would definitely go back. Totally different vibe from Benidorm down the road."

"What this place lacks in architectural design and clinical decor, it makes up for in relation to the excellent choice of food and wine and friendly hard working staff. The standard rooms have two double beds! Is this just in case couples fall out 😄. And our balcony was larger than some of the city break hotel rooms we've stayed at! Some 50% of the guests are Saga, so a distinctly 'mature' mix. They get the all inclusive 'Blue Card' (may be to complement the blue rinse 😄). Guests booking with other tour operators or independently get the option of 'Gold Card' all inclusive, with even more 'free' drinks. As hinted at in the review title, if you don't have a very good appetite, don't waste your money on the AI options. You just won't get your money's worth. You also need to have a broad repertoire of tastes to get best value from trying the various dishes. Some guests complained that on some occasions the food wasn't labelled. But if you have decent eyesight you can usually tell what it is. Some guests stuck to 'safe' ham, eggs and chips for instance. So why come to Spain? They may have just gone to their local Wetherspoon's. The lunchtime food choices can be the poor relation at some hotels compared to the evening. But not here. In fact we preferred lunchtimes because there was just as much choice, but it was much quieter. In many Spanish hotels the all inclusive consists of guests getting their own drinks from self-service dispensers. But in our experience this can mean poorer quality and no choice, especially the wine, when you don't even know what you're drinking; only the colour. In the RH Ifach all the wine is served at your table from bottles. So it's assured to be good quality. e.g Rueda, Rioja, D. O. We paid @£850 each for the gold card AI and thought it was worth every penny. If you can get this for a similar price, plus civilized flight times and transfers, you won't be disappointed."
