"I had the most amazing massage at Le Mère Spa with Ligia Florence, honestly one of the best I’ve ever had! From the moment I walked in, the room felt so calming and peaceful, and Ligia’s warm energy instantly put me at ease. Her hands were lovely and warm (such a comforting touch!) and I’d requested a firm massage. I can absolutely say she delivered. My calves were super tight after a hike and lots of walking, and she worked her magic on them. I rerally recommend if you go hiking. The next day I genuinely felt like I was walking straighter and more freely. Ligia is incredibly thorough, intuitive, and skilled, much better than any massage I’ve had in the UK. On top of that, she’s such a lovely person. You can feel how caring and grounded she is through her work. Can’t recommend her enough!"

"We recently returned from a week at this hotel and I’ve only got good things to say about it. We went with a small group of adults with learning disabilities and were royally looked after from start to finish. It’s fabulously located, not too far from the airport or Funchal and just minutes from the main motorway running through the island. Ok, the rooms are a little dated but it’s a 3 star hotel and we weren’t expecting The Ritz. But they were spacious, with nice balconies and had everything you needed and were cleaned to a high standard daily by polite and courteous staff. In fact, the staff were superb everywhere you went from the reception, bar and restaurant staff to the gardeners and maintenance staff. The pools were lovely and well maintained inside and out and we loved the vicinity around the inside pool with a comfy area for relaxing and a table tennis table which we enjoyed. We booked breakfasts and evening meals plus we requested packed lunches daily where we had vegetarians, gluten free, and ‘without cheese please’ guests, and daily they were presented, well labelled and with a smile. The restaurant was spacious with an indoor and outdoor area and again the staff were so kind and helpful. Special shout out to Sophia and Natasha especially at this point. Breakfast was continental with the pastries and croissants in particular a hit. Evening meals were well received and although not huge amount of choice, again catered for all our dietary requirements and we enjoyed each one, especially the deserts. As a supported travel company, staying in a lot of international hotels with our guests, all we really ask for is cleanliness and kind staff. This hotel scores top marks for both and when we return to Madeira, and we shall return, we won’t be looking to stay anywhere else.
