"Superlative experience! Without a shadow of a doubt this is the best hotel holiday experience we have ever had. Brilliantly located a 5 minute walk from the beautiful Cascais Marina (with all its shops and restaurants) and a 10 minute walk along the coastal road footpath to the town centre, this hotel provides everything you could possibly want. And even what you didn't know you wanted! The staff are incredibly welcoming, helpful and friendly paying a lot of attention to your needs and wants and remembering small things that matter. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and exudes class, calm and relaxation. Our room was a double deluxe overlooking the gardens and with a bit of a sea-view. As the hotel is on the sea front but in a semi-suburban area of Cascais, there were no sirens, no night time noise or disturbances. And the best night's sleep in the most enormous, comfortable bed. Little touches like an umbrella in the wardrobe should the weather be not as expected, chocolates and bottled water beside the bed, everything you could need if you had forgotten it in the bathroom, an adapter plug for any traveller with a different plug system to charge phones or whatever just added to the feeling that the hotel had really thought about guests and their potential needs. Sadly, we were only there for 3 nights and on a breakfast included deal. The breakfast menu was vast and top quality buffet style but nothing was too much trouble if you wished for something not laid out. We were hugely impressed with every aspect of this hotel and our stay was made all the more special by the attentiveness of the staff. Worth every penny and would without hesitation book to go again as it is a great base to visit the region and explore. Public transport from the town is easy to figure out and inexpensive and there are some great trips to Sintra (10th Century Moorish Castle and a lot of beautiful quaint shops), Cabo da Roca (most westerly tip of mainland Europe) and Lisbon. Great all round experience - we will be returning!"
