"We arrived in Sagres and this hotel caught our eye, as it is stunning..... We decided to check for availibility . The young lady at the front desk knew nothing about the hotel and kept calling or leaving to go ask basic questions and get back to us. She eventually found out they had availbility and after many back for forth, she quoted us 393 euros for one night,which we thought was a bit steep, but were willing to give it a try. She advised the room was not ready and we could come back later. We asked if we could leave our luggage, instead of driving around with it. Even for something so simple we had to wait, for her to go ask her superior who eventually came out of his office and instead of talking directly to us, he was telling her what to tell us! That we found very disturbing, and I bit my tongue as not to tell him off.... Hooray we were allowed to leave our luggage. On our return we collected our room key and the lobby was full of children running amock waiting for their parents, who were busy checking in too. We quicky realised this was a family restaurant especially provisionalized for children's entertainment Our room had a nice view and was very relaxing and nice! The next day before we left we went for breakfast which had a very impressive spread, but the noise of unruley children crying , screaming and running around,made us loose our appetite very quickly. It felt like we had walked into a creche's playground. The view at the breakfast area is breathtaking.
The terrible,service at their front desk was unacceptable to say the least. I know people have to learn, but not at the cost of customers patience and time. That lady should be watching over the shoulder of an experienced staff member(when not too busy),untill she has learned and is fit to serve your customers, not thrown into a job that she is clueless, especially with the prices you charge!
Your services do not match your beautiful hotel....."
