Falesia Hotel

"We have been visiting the Falesia on and off since 2011. In all that time and many visits , sometimes twice or three times a year , we have always been delighted by the care, friendliness, professionalism and hard work by all the staff . It is very rare these days to visit a hotel over many years and the hotel reception staff , around 10, remain the same individuals . The Front Office Manager , Celia Rafael, is worthy of a special mention as it is her excellent customer service and approachability which rubs off on all her staff and makes her a huge asset to the hotel . We always enjoy the wide range of quality food available at breakfast and dinner . On our last visit in October 2025, we noticed that there is a larger percentage of fish and seafood dishes than before . Thankfully I was able to find good choices every night as I am allergic to shellfish . The waiting and bar staff are always helpful , polite and hardworking . As in the reception team , many bar staff have remained at the Falesia for many , many years . The most famous for his jokes, friendly banter and huge knowledge of making cocktails is Armen Akopov , “ Armen, the barman from Armenia “! We have two stays already organised for the Falesia in 2026. The only cloud on the horizon is that the new Hotel Manager may wish to change things, as some changes have already happened we think is already changing the hotels character. The dining room had a huge stained glass dome on the ceiling which was a Beautiful feature, but it has been removed leaving a dull , poorly lit plain white ceiling. For us, this has spoilt the dining room entrance and ambience in the area for no good reason. Hopefully the direction of the hotel won’t change too much, as we ,along with lots of regular guests, are worried it won’t have the same appeal. The worse outcome for us would be if any of the excellent staff leave the hotel due to changes ."

"Stayed here for a week Oct half term and we have had a fabulous stay, exactly what we wanted. Check in was easy, staff are so friendly and they cannot do enough to help! I don't know how many languages they speak, but they all understood everybody - quite incredible as we noticed French, German, British, Polish and Chinese guests, all catered for!! Our room was immaculate, slight stale tobacco odour on curtains, but smoking is allowed on the balconies so it is to be expected. Our room was facing the side of the hotel where deliveries and bins are, so slightly noisy. If I had a choice, I would have had a poolside room that gets the sun and comparative peace and quiet all day long. The pool was cool to the touch and would benefit from being heated from October as only 1 or 2 people braved the water each day. As for previous people's comments about cleanliness I would have to disagree as the pool was spotless apart from a flying ant which cant be helped. As for towels on beds???? We never saw any beds reserved, so maybe this is a problem in the height of summer, def not a problem in October. Food was excellent, our compliments to the chefs who prepare and cook lovely food - and soooo much choice! I am the pickiest eater and I never went hungry once, even on fish night (cant eat seafood so less choice). Entertainment was good every night, never saw the dancers?? Singers were good and sang a range of genres each night. We have decided to return next year as we have found a lovely hotel that suits us. We like calm, quiet, quality places to stay - this sums up Falesia Hotel. If you're looking for being in the midst of everything don't stay here as there's nothing around and the beach is a courtesy minibus trip or 15min walk. We loved the hotel, but the tranquility might not be everyone's cup of tea. We took a trip to Vilamoura where there is a distinct holiday vibe, which we enjoyed for one night out."

"Been staying at this hotel with my husband now for years! It’s a beautiful hotel situated in the Falesia area of the Algarve region. The staff of the hotel is absolutely amazing and kind, they’re always ready to help out when needed, and they truly go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels at home. They recently remodeled the hotel, and it looks fantastic now making the lobby feels so bright and modern, and the rooms are spotless with that fresh, coastal vibe. One of the main reasons we come back each year is because of the incredible entertainment they provide each night of the week. Our favorite is the Wednesday night show with dancers and singers, absolutely glamorous and full of energy! The pool area is also gorgeous, with plenty of sunbeds and a really peaceful atmosphere during the day. The cocktails at the bar are some of the best in the Algarve!! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a peaceful hotel with kind staff, a modern touch and incredible entertainment!"
